I got to know do bundle games have no value in Steam gifts any more? I created and gave 7 games that where all confirmed received and my value did not go up at all.

20% of 1$ = 0.20

7 x 0.20 = 1.4$

Am I right or not?

With all due respect, you're not. You have no idea what you're talking about.

Close, you forgot to include the square root of pi in your calculations.

yeah, they changed how the value works for bundle piles, but when i last checked the faq a couple weeks ago they hadn't updated it to explain it. there was the sticky thread a while back but who can remember that

that would help if I did get the first 25$ but really it did not go up at all.

But you do have the first $25. That's why you currently have over $50. Do the maths in your head a minute, and you'll see that it all adds up.

Yeah, I do agree that it can be a little confusing for a lot of people, but you get used to it!

I would just like to know if I am waisting my time/$ giving away games on this sight if they are from bundles.I know a lot of people have there contribution to 100+$ giving bundle games away in the past but it would seem if you do it now you do not get a thing for doing it.

you can only have 20% of your contrib value from bundles games

$25 bundles (without penalty) + 2 romes ($20) aprox
you can only gain ($45 aprox *0.2 ) = $9 extra with bundle games

You can't spam bundle games to get contributor value any more. Didn't you read the rest of this thread?

Yes in the past, but the rules were changed to prevent this abuse.

You spent 1$ for each bundle and expected to get the full price of each game? Gladly this exploit was fixed before people boosted their contribution values too high.
It's only meant for people to give away bundle leftovers. If you really want to contribute a bundle, select the full bundle as the gift and get the appropriate contribution value for it.

Its kinda sad actually.

Games that already included in bundle are lowered in value making some contributors hesitate on giving away them

I'll give one example, I have 2 sanctum 4-packs and I got 6 copies left (I can even show you proof of purchase that it is not from bundle), but because of depreciated value of sanctum, I didn't gave away those 6 copies

You still can, just mix them in with other non-bundle games and you'll get their value. The new rules are not meant to punish, just to keep people from spamming them to artificially boost their contributor value. The system is actually fairly well balanced. As Ricards009 said it's meant so that people can still give away bundle leftovers but not entire bundles over and over again. If people want to give away entire bundles they can do that and still get the appropriate value on their account.
