So with the new Smash Bros. game coming closer and closer to release, how have you all been reacting? Positive, negative, don't care, etc.

My reaction is mixed. The name is dumb(I mean, give it a subtitle! It's only the fourth game in the series!). The fact that the campaign won't have awesome cut scenes like in Subspace Emissary kinda stinks. I've always wanted Mega Man in the series, so that's really awesome. It's kinda weird that it's on both 3DS and WiiU, considering that you can't play cross-platform. It also sucks because I don't own either of those, so I'd have to buy a whole new system to play it. Ness isn't confirmed to be in this one. If he isn't in it, I probably won't buy it.

Frankly, I'll probably buy a used 3DS or something to play it on. Super Smash Bros. Brawl is one of my all-time favorite games, so I hope that this game will be just as good.

I'd want it if I cared enough to get a WiiU or a 3DS. I was pretty disappointed with the Wii though, so unless I can get the WiiU for cheap, I doubt I'll get one. If you have one already though, it sounds pretty exciting.

I am very anti Nintendo now after the Wii. They basically turned their backs on a large audience and ignored feedback by doing things "their way." After the Wii being a generally terrible console (when it comes to a strong balance of title types) with only a handful of good games (I can probably use my fingers to count the games I enjoyed), it only makes it worse that their strongest titles sorta went a more casual family pace instead of what they used to be. Mario was always family friendly, but never was he childproofed. Mario Party 8 was such a kids game, it wasn't even a family game but just a kids game. Their games also shown to have a huge lack of balance because of glitches, exploits, or poor testing. Metaknight was ridiculous in Brawl, why? Did they not play the game?

Even if the issues above were not a problem, I would still not buy Nintendo games because they are so primitive. The Wii's "wifi" is just a poor attempt at online matches. They had so much censorship (like unable to communicate with the other players) that it is impossible to make friends, which is not even good on paper (why not just have a parental controls option on the game system where parents can adjust how their precious will be bubble wrapped from the world?). I had to hack Brawl to get any fun out of it and add features that should have existed and remove some that shouldn't. Why were replays even limited to 3 mins? So, no. I am not hyped for the next smash at all, especially since they will probably add a lot of limitations so it is an easy port to the 3Ds (like they will not do cutscenes anymore, lazy bastards. They blame youtube but they were the ones that chosen to be lazy).

I hope that it's better than Brawl from a gameplay aspect (great visuals, great music, lengthy single-player campaign [even if it had horribly generic enemies, cheap fake difficulty and horrible platforming in parts with a fanfic-quality story], interesting character roster . . . . but horridly slow, dumbed down gameplay in a multiplayer game is terrible). I didn't like the direction the gameplay went from 64 to Melee OR Brawl, mosstly because Sakurai is obseessed with being the sole authority on balance & moveset direction . . . . which is why the games tend to be so imbalanced and why we have Ganondorf as a Captain Falcon clone of all things.

I haven't been happy with any of the console devs this generation or last generation (except for the Wii and handhelds from both Nintendo and Sony . . . .well, the latter's PSP anyway), so I really hope that Sora Ltd does a good job with this.

I've always wanted to own a Super Smash Bros but never owned a N64, GameCube (untill this year) or Wii. I do own a 3DS, so I'm excited about finally being able to get one.

Honestly, it's worth it to buy a used Wii just to get Brawl. I would also recommend Bit.Trip Complete, Mario Kart Wii, and Megaman 9+10 (I think they're better with the Wii controller as opposed to the 360 or PS3 controllers)

Yes, and I also want to play the Mario Galaxies, Zeldas (I think it would be cheaper to buy a wii and twilight princess instead of buying it for the gamecube) and more, but I don't have the money right now to buy a new console.

Fuck super smash brawl. It was cool with w/ fancy graphics and new characters with cool moves and tricks. But that shit is imbalanced, not fun to play especially it is a fighting game. Super smash bro and melee are still the best ones even with outdated graphics.

They ruined my capt falcon especially

I too, don't own either of the consoles, but really would love to buy and play the new smash bros, since its probably the best game(s) nintendo ever makes, along with pokemon, mario, and zelda.

They didn't add Captain Falcon, so to me the game already sucks. Once they add him I'll retract my statement.

I'm pretty content with Project M right now, but I'll probably be picking up a 3DS and a Wii U within the next few years anyway so Smash will be a no-brainer with them.

pretty excited for everything except for the most recent character reveal but will still buy both versions for portable Play (3DS obviously) and getting back into competitive after not having played Brawl for an Eternity. (Wii U only though :D 3DS will only be Fun Matches^^) Obviously Brawl was the weakest spot in the Series but by far not as bad as many people say it was...it hat a decent Singleplayer Campaign (Which had even Co-Op Build in) and even though really slow pretty smooth Gameplay...and tripping but let`s forget that since it wont return!
