Can anyone list some?

I tried some word combinations and the only results on google were : "Video games developed in Italy", "Video games set in Italy" and a dumb question "Are there video game stores in Spain and Italy?"

P.S. Do they sell electronics (especially Nintendo 3DS + Games) at the Rome airport duty free?

Here is a list find on Google Maps. And if you are interested there is also a museum of videogames, the Vigamus.

Sounds interesting, but it's not me there, it's my parents. I need to give them an address to a store they can pick up a 3DS for me.

"Are there video game stores in Spain and Italy?"

No, in Italy we don't have videogames: only mafia, pizza and berlusconi if you're interested

That's not my question, it was on Google, in case the text was confusing.

ahah i know i was just kidding :P if you need a 3DS it could be very convenient to get it from a Mediaworld or another "big chain store": there are many offers and deals, as well bundles (you could pick one from the comment above mine).

In Fiumicino airport there are a couple of shops specialized in electronics: https://www.adr.it/web/guest/fiumicino-risultati-negozi in this link, you can read where are these shops depending on which terminal your parents go Terminal T3, G and B Area). But I honestly don't know if they sell consoles or games.

Are you visiting Rome? You need something of very close to your position then.

There are a lot of stores.
Gamestop, Euronics, Mediaworld, Trony, Eldo, Saturn and La Feltrinelli too.
They are everywhere, 3 Gamestop are in "Via Appia Nuova" (Metro Line A - Stop at Re Di Roma) and "Via Tuscolana" (Metro Line A - Stop at Giulio Agricola). La Feltrinelli is near the Coliseum and Piazza Navona in "Galleria Alberto Sordi". Trony and Euronics are in "Via Appia Nuova" (Line A - Stop at Furio Camillo) while Eldo is in "Via Tuscolana" (Metro Line A - Stop at Lucio Sestio).

In the Airport Duty Free i don't remember if there's a store.. sorry :)

Thanks, I'm gonna look into it and hopefully my parents can make it to one of those stores. Do any of these happen to be in a central locatiion? (close to a landmark, a tourism spot, anything?)

My personal advice as an Italian citizen. Do not buy videogames or electronics in Italy: in the most cases they cost more than in your country.
Btw if you buy only videogames nothing happens. Dunno for a brand new console but, imho, you are not in "danger".

Anyway Game Stop store locator

I did the research, it's pretty much cheaper in Italy, the most expensive I saw was about 11 Euro cheaper than here, and the cheapest one was about ~50 Euro.

From experience, you rarely get many real electronic bargains at duty free. Whatever you save on taxes usually gets counter-balanced by a price-hike in the store. Add to that the hassle of returning it if there's an issue, and you're onto a loser.

I suspect getting it from someone like Amazon would not only work out cheaper, but would probably save you a heap of headaches if there's a problem with the unit.

Amazon never ships to my country, and I don't think I can specifically get a PAL model.
