I have a problem that maybe some of you have experimented, I have $10 dollars in paypal (American version) I was going to get Universe Sandbox but paypal didn't let me add founds to my steam account, then searching through the web I discovered that I couldn't add money to steam because my paypal account is not verified. So my question is: Is there a way to verified the account without a credit card or without living in the States?

thanks!

(sorry for my english, I learnt it by my own, I know it sucks)

The credit card is the basis of a verified account. Think about Skyrim without Dragons.

Where do you live or better: How did you add 10$ to Paypal? Depending on which method you use, there are other ways to verify your account, I guess. I don't have a CC, too, so I had to verify my account in that way: they sent me 2 small amounts of money to my bank account and I had to fill a formular how much it was. That was it.

But he doesn't even live in the US so he can't get money deposited into his bank account as you need to link a US bank account to a US PayPal.

Sorry, I don't live in US, I live in Germany and I thought there must be eligible bank accounts in Mexico too o_O In Europe you can make credit transfers to your paypal account from bank account and direct from your paypal acc. to your bank acc. These must be verified. Obviously in Northamerica it is another system than here...

need a bank account, pretty much it. and why bother adding money to your steam account at all? why not just click pay with paypal when you put an item in your steam shopingcart.. and it will open a steam browser. I dont understand why people that use paypal add money to their steam wallet?

I concur with Tritian. You don't need a credit card, you can also use a Debt card. In my case, in South Korea, I use PayPal with a Visa Debt card to verify it and it worked fine. But yeah if you have funds and don't intend to add funds to PayPal in the future, then just pay it straight from your PaYPal balance :)

*I know Visa and Mastercard debt cards can be used. Also just make sure that the debt card you have can be used for online purchases, in my case I have a Visa cheque card which allows it. Thus I think so long as your card has a Visa logo for example on it, then you can use it for PayPal verification.

I got those $10 in internet. Also, the verification is a requirement on the American paypal site, that's where I have this money, I have another paypal account from Spain, in their site I don't have to verify the account since the sending limit it's not $0. That's the problem.

Can't you send the money to the account that has no limitations or whatever is that won't let you buy stuff?

IIRC, unverified American Paypal accounts allow you to receive money but not send. So the money you have on your account is stuck on it because you probably put fake information to sign up for the account and now there is no way to verify it even with a credit card.

Unverified Canadian Paypal accounts let you receive and send IIRC $7500 per year.

PS. I've bought games on steam with an unverified paypal before, you just need one that will allow you to send money ie. a Canadian Paypal account.

When I was in the US, I just went to wal-mart and bought a debit card. When I did that, paypal accepted it as a credit card. I dunno about now.
