Is it just me?

Its in portuguese but it basically says:

This website has malicious software.

The hackers who are at www.Steamgifts.com can try to install malicious software in your computer, which steals and deletes information. (for exemple, photos, passwords, bla bla)

Srly guys, stop trying to hack all the Bad Rats keys ! >:(

cg's comment on this:

Google flagged a cat photo on our forum as suspicious. It was attached to a user's comment in April 2015. The offending comment has been removed, so the issue should resolve itself shortly. Crisis averted.

It should not matter whether it's Chrome or Firefox. Both use Google's
"Safer Browsing" tech by default. You can also turn it off on firefox, not
sure about Chrome. Personally I turned it off on my main browser
profile long ago, as I don't like all my download files being cross-referenced
by the evl empire of Google. However, I didn't turn it off yet on the profile
I use for SG. Perhaps I should. ;-)

This will have to have something to do with Google's safe browsing, which is also used by Firefox.

Kind of lame that I reported several actual phishing sites to them and they have never taken any action on them, but starts blocking SG for no reason.

Firefox told me the same.
It says it's based from Google's database so I think Google see something fishy here. Hehehehe

That would explain why I got it just when I posted a comment, since you get redirected to your own comment when posting

I was going to suggest it might have something to do with ads but I don't see how it would only affect the comment link.

Chrome is the malware

Permalink

Chrome is spywre, not malware. That's a difference. also, in this case, it's Google's "safer browsing" tech
that's causing the issue, which is used both by Chrome, Firefox and couple of other browsers.
