A good local coop game?

Local co-op as in two PC's or as in splitscreen?

If it's splitscreen

• Portal 2
• Shank 2
• Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed

If it's local co-op

• Sniper Elite V2
• Left 4 Dead Series

And I don't know where to fit on this, since it's not splitscreen actually

• Beat Hazard: Ultra <-- Recommended to be Ultra for massive enjoyment! (Also I think it needs to be Ultra to play co-op)

Rayman games are great (Origins, Legends - you control two or more characters on the same screen in both)
Portal 2; Split/Second for splitscreen

My daughter and I play a lot of Battleblock Theater and Torchlight 2 - both fun!

Borderlands series, if you like looters and can play for a longer time. Diablo 3 for the same reason but with a different setting.

And as a question to everyone,are Lego Batman games worth it? Would love to play some local coop with my brother but don't know if they're any good.

I recommend LEGO games, they're really fun to play with your friends.

some total war and CIVs have hotseat mode.
