Then unread that sentence back! They share great awesomeness of art, sound and story, but it's completely different games! You can easily like one and don't the other one (although you shouldn't do that, they both great!). And no offense to the Transistor, but Bastion is much better! And to my notice it's been liked by more people, so you should definitely try it! It's a great game, like really-really great game! Pleaaaase play it!
But just out of curiosity - what exactly you didn't like about Transistor?
Red, if you read this - don't read this, I love you very much too!

It might depend on a personal playstyle - I just had much fun trying deferent combinations of functions and different tactics, so it haven't felt repetitive to me. But if someone using the same approach in every fight - I can see how it might get boring after a while. But new enemies and new functions (that not only useful, but revealing the story by using them) usually won't let you bore. And it's not very long game by itself.
And I'm not trying to persuade you here (well, maybe just a little bit), just don't completely reject it and give it another try some time later ^^

Some very nice suggestions above.
Let me add that if you're interested in games that are more like interactive movies you could try pretty much everything TellTale has published in the last few years or if you own a ps3 then Beyond: Two Souls and the Last of Us might suit you

+1 for all Bioshock suggestions
And additionally - Psychonauts! Even though story isn't even the best part of game, it sure is fantastic! And since you liked Bastion - it have overwhelming artistic world (or even better - worlds), great soundtrack, fun gameplay and to top it off - a lot of humor!
Just watch this - and know that it's all apply to the game itself too!
Edit: just saw that you've already did played it ^^ Well, I'll just leave it here to recruit more cadets

If you want a game with a great story, then look no further than Planescape: Torment. The game is still (sadly) unmatched in this regard.
Syberia also has a really good story. It's more down to earth than that of most games, but it's good.
The Longest Journey is another one with a great story. Not as down to earth as Syberia.
