Riddlers’ Labyrinth - Official Thread
Welcome, puzzlers, to the “Riddlers’ Labyrinth”!
For those of you who do not know, this is a group of puzzlers that solve puzzles sponsored by the Riddlers’ Guild, a group comprised of many well known puzzle makers. There is a separate group that is yet to be filled called Riddlers’ Lair. The Lair will be a private giveaway group for only the best of puzzlers, and this is where the Labyrinth comes into play. The Labyrinth is the proving ground. Can you pass our tests? Will you shine above all others? Will you conquer the Labyrinth?
Preface:
Many of you have been solving puzzles with [RIDL] in the title which mention a public group called “Riddlers’ Labyrinth.” What is this group? Well, in short, the group’s goal is to find the best puzzlers around and put their skills to the test. For every puzzle completed you will be awarded points based on difficulty. What do they do? Read on.
Point system:
You earn points by solving puzzles. Each puzzle will be worth anywhere from 1 to 10 points, based on the difficulty of the puzzle. These points will be tracked on the high score board. These points are taken into consideration as part of the process of gaining admittance into the Lair. No amount of points is sufficient in itself to guarantee entry. The points are for reference and friendly competition.
Q: How do I know if a puzzle is Labyrinth approved?
A: All Labyrinth puzzles will have the tag [RIDL] in the title. As a member of the Labyrinth, if you create a puzzle, ask one of the admins to take a look at it for Labyrinth approval. The number of points your puzzle is worth will be awarded to you as thanks if it meets approval.
Rules:
All puzzle point values are subject to change after they are closed. The final point value will be posted with the answers. However, there will usually be a predicted value posted with the puzzle.
Any person caught cheating will be excluded from the group and reported to SteamGifts support. Cheating includes, but is not limited to, leaking answers or giveaway links, posting puzzle-related questions to sites such as yahoo answers, submitting your name twice to the points forum, and lying about not receiving points for solving a puzzle.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact: Tzell, cfriend, nitsogop, or wbarton. You can also find us in the Labyrinth chat.
