Hey y'all! I'm looking for game suggestions, but not just any games. I'm trying to find something I can play online or over the network with my sibling and his girlfriend that's not a FPS. Minecraft and terraria have already been considered, we're definitely aiming for co-op. Any other ideas?

Now on to the fun stuff.

Fortix!
Cubemen

Nothing hidden, didn't feel like going to all that trouble. Thanks in advance for the suggestions!

Sorry I don't have any suggestions. Everyone I know plays Minecraft.

Yeah, we've done minecraft on the xbox. Can't convince them to migrate to the PC, so been trying to figure out other options.

Castle Crashers is a fun co-op multiplayer. Even more fun if you have gamepads, but whatever works

Ah yes, how could I forget that one. That's another we played on the xbox, maybe I should get them to play it again.

+1 I concur. Castle Crashers is the way to go if your sibling and his girlfriend aren't core gamers.

I was gonna say Castle Crashers, but since Incog said that already, I would have to go with Torchlight 2. It's somewhat expensive, but it's a awesome game. Good for playing with friends.

Torchlight 2, Awesomenauts, Castle Crashers, Spiral Knights (that one is free if you wanna give it a try).

It really is a great game (:

I just wish there was a bit more to do after reaching all level 6, I got a bit bored eventually xD

Yeah, it's too bad we plateau like that eventually. Maybe they should put in some sort of prestige system or something? I hate to admit it, but that's one thing about COD that I always liked, that I kept progressing.

Or they could really make me happy and come up with a completely new perk lol

I think if there was a prestige for berserker or sharpshooter I'd jump like 10 spots xD

Yeah, that would be fantastic too. I really need to play more of the MP games I have, I spend way too much time playing by myself, lol.

I think I have to spend more time playing Solo games, I buy them and I really do want to play them but then when a friend invited me it's like.. oh.. okay, multiplayer! lol

I definitely know that feeling, I was the same way on the xbox. Could never pass up a chance to play MP with a friend. Probably doesn't happen on here because I don't have any people on my friends list who try to pull me into games with them, haha.

Yeah, I think I'd be the same otherwise, I tried to get a few SP games done over my winter break but it didn't go tooo well, did finish Darksiders though xD

If you can get into the MOBA game type you can all try League of Legends or Smite. Both are good games and free to try. If not something like You Don't Know Jack is great. I have it on console, not sure how it works on PC but it exists.

There is also a plethora of free to play MMOs on steam that may be good. Even if the game isn't great, anything is better with a friend or two.

The PC port of You Don't Know Jack is only 2-player from what I read. Inexcusable for what is supposed to be a 'party game'.

Weak I figured it would have online support and be fun or something

Not sure there is even online support either. If memory serves it may be local only although I'm not entirely certain about that. Easiest place to check would the reviews on Amazon.

  • Trine 2 (the only game I know of that has max 3-player Co-op)
  • Renegade Ops
  • Magicka
  • Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light
  • Alien Swarm
  • Capsized (currently $2.50 - 75% off until Monday I believe)
  • Orcs Must Die 2
  • Portal 2
  • Gatling Gears
  • Dungeonland
  • The Cave
  • Party of Sin
  • Torchlight II
  • Ticket to Ride?? (although I imagine it might be better to just play the board game)
  • Iron Brigade

I may add some more as I think of them.

This might be useful as well: List of Co-op Games for PC

I was gonna say Portal 2 too, but it's only 2 player max on coop, and they are 3 :/
I had tons of fun with that game.

True, but he didn't really specify a number and maybe it's possible they might take turns with certain games. Limiting it to 3 or more cuts out some pretty damn good Co-op games in my opinion.

In the case they eventually take turns, yeah, Portal 2 is definetely worth the money, such an awesome coop game.
