Honestly I'm not a fan of the lego games, I never knew that they made more potter games though, I used to play the first one when I was a littley, kinda feel like checking them out again now. Ummmm have you tried updating your graphics card driver? A lot of the time its that, infact I bought a computer a few months ago that kept crashing with knights of the old republic 1 (made in 2003) and yet a graphics card update a month ago fixed it up somehow lol.

I updated everything last week, but I'll check it out. and you should definitely check the first three games out, they were simply awesome

Nice, I never played any Lego games before but some of my friends were insisting on how fun they are and as there are no good HP games anymore I thought why the hell not.
So the Start Wars Games are good? Well, I know what I'm gonna get next then if I like the Lego style .. and if I can fix this problem

Lego LOTR really changed my mind about the games-- dropping the screen-distance limit, allowing co-op players to free roam with a variable splitscreen and original voices really sealed the deal for me.
As for your technical issues, have you tried running them in compatibility mode?

Yup, tried running it in compatibility mode. Whenever the loading screen comes up it immediately crashes to the desktop without any error message. Which is sad, I was really looking forward to play this game. You know, just coming home after work and sit down and enjoy myself for a few hours. Especially because you can play as more than just Harry .. i kinda hate him.

I take issue with them. In my eyes, Lego games tend to be the same thing over and over again but with different skins.
Lego Star Wars, Lego Indiana Jones, Lego Batman, Lego Pirates of the Caribbean, Lego Harry Potter, ect ect...
As for your problems with the game, it could be a problem with the computer itself. Some are not built to handle certain games. My old laptop could not do any 3D graphic games at all. It could just be a problem from EA. After all it is EA.

I am a huge fan of the Potter Universe, because hey, I grew up with those books and let's be honest, Severus Snape is hands down the best character ever. All I ever wanted from this life was a huge RPG set in the Potter Universe, you create your own student and stuff and do magic and all the other fun stuff like fighting against monsters. As always my hopes were let down, EA turned the Potter games (1-3 were awesome) into Gears of Potter, because WE WANT THE CALL OF DUTY AUDIENCE.
Never played any Lego games before, but I was told I will have a ton of fun with them. I bought the first one, years 1-4, installed it ... and it crashes. I tried everything and the fix with changing the frequency, still doesn't work ..
Any suggestions? I really want to play it now ...
