So, the brazilian Aquiris Studio released a teaser for their upcoming game Horizon Chase.

The first thing you'll recognize is the familiarity of the tune with the Top Gear theme. The composer is none other than Barry Leitch, the composer for Top Gear! :D (Here is the complete version of this tune)

You'll also notice the similarities to racing games of the past. Aquiris makes it clear that the game is inspired on games like OutRun e Lotus Turbo Challenge, but with their own take, and modern technologies.

Initially they plan on releasing the game on mobile platforms, already next month, and later, release it on PC and consoles.

I really hope it goes well, the game looks good!

Since this topic is about promoting a brazilian game, I'll use this space to link 2 giveaways I have running to promote good brazilian games that are on Steam. Chroma Squad will end in less than 24 hours, and Aritana and the Harpy's Feather will run for a week. There are 2 more game giveaways planned. Momodora III and Toren. Check the descriptions! :)

Had me at OutRun. :p

It looks so much like Rad Racer too. That was my childhood and the beginning of my racing addiction. Ah, that lovely eyestrain from crappy red/blue 3D glasses. <3

Like what other users say it looks like old racing games on NES or Mega drive consoles.
For me, this teaser reminds me this game -------> Chase HQ 2

Well, those games themselves probably inspired each other, and they probably got inspirations from all these games, hehe. But I guess the most famous are the mentioned ones, maybe.

Well, Outrun was always popular, and Lotus / TopGear shared people between them.
