Thank you for the heads up, MisterWolf.
It's time to snoop around the GOG store before the incoming Steam sale. :-)

Woah, that was a great Connect batch! Now if only I could get it to detect Michonne and Pathologic along with the rest...

Yup, I did that soon after posting and they synced alright. Thanks though ;)

I was considering getting SOMA on Steam but I may rather get it on GOG thanks to the Frictional Bundle, which further discounts each game the more of them you decide to get. Since I've already got Amnesia: The Dark Descent, I'd get SOMA, A Machine for Pigs and Penumbra Collection for €7.67 - little more that buying SOMA alone right now...

In line with the upcoming Halloween Steam Sale, GOG has already launched theirs. Besides the discounts, the special promo for this one is a free copy of "Tales from the Borderlands" if you make a purchase of $15+.
Also, they've added a new batch of games to GOG Connect (if you have them on Steam, they'll be automatically added to your GOG account). Check out the corresponding thread for more information:
https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/YD6sW/gog-connect-add-selected-games-you-own-on-steam-to-your-gog-library-no-batch-right-now
EDIT: If your games are not being recognized by GOG Connect, try pressing "Refresh" (button located below your account names, where it shows your GOG and Steam id's... it will scan your Steam account again, in search of the missing games). If it finds new ones, press the green button to add them to your account. Seems it's having some trouble finding all of them on a single pass. Also, if you have a large account, it can take a while.
