How much I have to wait to re-roll a giveaway?

I'm still waiting for the "gift received" about my last GA of about 36 hrs ago. I also added the guy on Steam and sent a message in his profile, but with no reply. How much I have to wait? And how can I know he didn't use the key on another profile? He has not the game in his profile.
