Test an alpha demo of my game!

Alright party people,

I'm getting my Master's in Digital Game Design & Development and need some usability testing done for my thesis project.

Here is a link to the demo. It's a Flash Game, so no need to download anything...unless you're one of the 0.5% that doesn't have Flash installed.

Here is the usability survey.

On the usability survey, make sure you select "SteamGifts" for where you heard about the game and then you'll have the option to enter your Steam username. By doing so, you'll will be invited to a Steam Group so I can reward you guys with some spare keys I have (sorry, but don't expect Skyrim or something of that nature, I'm unemployed :P).

There's one caveat though....I need to analyze the results tomorrow afternoon! Yeah, not much time :(. So not sure when the cutoff will be exactly, but probably somewhere between 11A-1P ET I will be shutting it down.

EDIT: I have a lot of work today and tomorrow, so don't fret if you don't get an invite right away. Expect invites to go out Friday. I will not start giveaways until I've sent out all invites.

To create links you do [text] (link) with no spaces between them.

Interesting platformer, weird handling.

After playing level 2, I finally knew what to look for in level 1.

I will agree to that. The momentum was weird. I think I somehow managed to bounce myself up. Not sure how I did it tho.

As kashen said, it plays in the browser...it's a Flash game. I'll update my post to make that clear.

You should have put "There's cake!" in the title of this thread! Yup, completed that survey for you! Hope you'll drop by again with an updated beta version sometime. Oh, and thanks for sharing your game with all of us here! :D

Haha. Yeah, I'll definitely keep you guys posted both in the steam group and on here and if I ever do anything commercial, you can bet there will be a dev giveaway if I have any say in the matter :)

Hi mate, I'm running up an game UX project, might be related with what you're needing. Give me the OK and I'll do one pass to it (or more if we have enough time).

Only requirement is that you let me put up the game on my site.

Thanks for the offer! I'll have to discuss it with my group...since it's our thesis project for a grade, I'm not sure we'd want to outsource anything at this time.

Aw, i missed it.
Anywho, OP your game is a bit awkward, and there are some areas in which you can get stuck and have to refresh the page.
nice idea though.
