I installed and ran DOTA 2 for an hour, just so I wouldn't have to see it spammed all over the place. That's it, though. And that was a long time ago.
But I've never bought a game just to ignore a deluge of GAs for it. I only buy games if I wanna play 'em. I'd rather be a dirty cheater and use SG+.:B

for me it was exactly the opposite, because I like a bit harder games and all mechanics of the MOBA genre are way to easy in Lol, like lasthitting, no denying, etc. So it's extremely boring for me now xD

In the time I would have to spend getting to the stage where I wasn't too hopeless at DOTA to avoid the bilious hateful ranting of many of its ruder community members, I could have completed and enjoyed any number of other games, or turned my hand to a multitude of more profitable ventures.
I'm told that it's awesome and mesmerisingly deep once you've put a few hundred hours in (or long enough to become a reasonably adept player, anyway), but persevering with a game I'm not enjoying, while being cheerfully insulted by a bunch of squeaky-voiced sociopaths whose balls haven't yet dropped sounds a lot more more like work than leisure, and does not come under any definition of "fun" that I've ever encountered :)
Each to their own, but DOTA 2 is most definitely not for me.

You've summed up my feelings quite well.
When I had it loaded up so it would show on my profile, I spectated in a few games. I saw a bit too much venom and stupidity for my liking.
And I like to play a large variety of smaller games, so I don't have the time to learn DOTA2 properly enough to where I won't get yelled at or booted out of each match I play. :B

Nope. Don't have time for all the elitism and BS that comes with multiplayer games like that. I've considered giving it another chance later, but I doubt that I'll ever play a game with anyone besides close friends. Especially not pub games. I avoid those like a plague-ridden, rabid, angry badger.

Also, possibly. Maybe. I don't know. I make a lot of drunk purchases. Like the alpha of Starforge, because when I was drunk I was excited about a procedural sandbox thingy in space. And Far Cry Blood Dragon, because hey it's like some 80s thing except nothing like any 80s thing. And War of the Roses, because Brian Blessed alone is worth it with a couple bottles of wine in you. Well, Brian Blessed alone is worth it when you're sober, too, so bad example.
It is conceivable that I have bought something merely so it would stop appearing.
