So, I've been waiting for Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion to go on sale on GMG for their whole sale, cus I have credit there (which is why I didn't buy it on steam). And today it has--but only for 50% off. I was expecting a 75% sale, or at least 66%.

However, SoaSE Trinity is already cheaper, and more what I was expecting to pay. So I'm wondering--is the extra content and graphic boosts in Rebellion worth twice the price? I've got more than enough credit to get either, I just wanted to check with fans to see if Rebellion was a definitively better game and I should go for it. I've heard of some pretty cool mods for Rebellion, though I'm sure Trinity has plenty as well.

So, thoughts?

Sorry to bump, but I'd hoped to get an answer or two before this gets buried.

I haven't played either buy I did some research a while back and decided to get Trinity to make sure I liked the game before getting the full package at a much higher price. Just my thought.

Always get the latest Sins game because it includes previous incarnations. Buy Rebellion.

Yeah, that's what I figured. Its not a massive difference in price and I've got credit, so I'll probably get Rebellion. Thanks for the help guys

From what I've heard the 2 dlc's do add a lot to the base game as well (which is why I got them as well, haven't activated them yet though)
But like Khaleq implied, there's tons of content in the rebellion base game so i second his statement.
