Hey guys,

me and my gf are having two weeks off and she asked if we could play some games together. I have to say I'm kind of clueless as what games to pick. The only game we played together was Hearthstone. Bear in mind she's not the best gamer. I have xbox controller if that helps. Maybe games like Don't Starve Together or something similar. Any ideas?

I had a friend ask me that not too long ago and suggested DST, but what she really took to was Grand Theft Auto. Not the first title that came to my mind as 'female friendly,' she liked the open world aspect of it - she can hop in a car have some fun creating chaos, with no pressure to take an objective, reach a save point or shoot people (hit and run's a different story, it seems). It can be tough to predict what someone will like when they don't necessarily know themselves.

Since you've got two weeks, you might want to try one month's worth of Origin Access. It's $5 in the US and you get access to over 30 games. Torchlight 2, Trine, and Garden Warfare 1/2 stand out as co-ops that seem pretty accessible. FIFA 16 was just added and includes women's national teams, if that would interest her. If she'd like to try other kinds of games to play single player, there's a good variety - Mirror's Edge 1/2, the Banner Saga, Mass Effect 1/2/3, Dragon Age 1/2 and Inquisition, Need for Speed, Mini Metro, Unravel. ME3 and NfS do offer multiplayer, too.

Destroy her in any of the Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter series. :) Or Super Smash if you want to get crazy with items

BattleBlock Theater for teamwork fun (or failure), or The Forest for survival. All the other ones I would say have already been mentioned :)

I've played some LEGO games with my girlfriend, and we both enjoyed them a lot!
