If people want to set high level requirements on giveaways, that's generally fine, although after a point it can become kinda stupid. Recently someone has gotten their gollies out of making level ten requirement giveaways for common bundle games which in one, they received three entries, for a three copy giveaway, so everyone that entered won. He/she then made three more telling me it was done just for me since I found the prior one rather silly, especially considering how it turned out. Two out of three of the new giveaways ended with zero entries.

Right in the descriptions of these giveaways, he/she says things like "awaits the contributor level complaints," or the title of this thread. He then tells me how I don't understand what giveaways are, but when he seems to start them to goad people into responding angrily, and limits the available entry pool so significantly, it just doesn't really come off as giveaways started in the proper spirit of a giveaway, or this site to me. If these were giveaways for some new AAA game, or what not then sure, that'd make sense, but for what he/she even describes as "shitty bundle games" with the kind of descriptions he/she uses, it just doesn't make sense to me. What do the rest of you think?

Do you find giveaways like this to be in the proper spirit of this site?

Well... ideally this shouldn't but the meaning has been twisted into more wanton displays of wealth among many than a spirit of generosity.

What are you complaining about... creator can choose which lvl he wants, no matter which game he wants to give away.
This is not your business. And pls stop whining!

You could also argue that level 1/2 giveaways limit the entry pool too. They still count as giveaways or gifts, so yes it's in the spirit of the website.

funny how the problem is the guy giving stuff for free, not the people complaining about how someone should give his stuff away.
