sounds like you aren't the first to lose a gift from them. but mod or admin would have to confirm

Sounds like you are right. I've won a fake giveaway once and it disappeared from my won list after some days, checked the gifter's profile and he was banned.

Maybe if you followed the group rules you would get the game. You didn't. You had 2 weeks and a half, yet you decided not to follow them and raffle anyway. You got kicked from the group the same day you raffled (one day before the raffle ended). You weren't kicked before because we were hoping you to follow the rules, you didn't and you went straight to raffle and i haven't seen you a single time on Chat.

  • Users that don't appear from time to time in chat get kicked.
  • Try to be active on Chat, joining Gifts and never being on Chat is not tolerated.
  • People that are not in the group and enter a Gift (such as people that get kicked) and win, the win will be null and we be rerolled.

...so yeah

im a member of dozens of groups tbh, i dont keep track of them all, let alone chat to them all the time. what were we going to discuss? baking tips?

Baking is a good skill, maybe thats a good idea.

Thanks to all these attitudes, i'm now sure it wasn't a mistake to kick you.

And don't come with dozens of groups excuse because that's not even an excuse, i'm in 31 groups and you're in 18. Want to go that way?

Anyway, going to a chat a single time is nothing. You didn't go there a single time you could just go there from time to time and say "hi", so what's all this buzz? I don't get it.

Rules were there, you had two weeks and a half, you violated them, you got punished. With this action it just proves you didn't care about anything but to win a raffle. Hopefully you'll read group rules in the future.

god i really dont give a shit, i didnt really want terraria anyway. i have no interest in chatting to a bunch of self absorbed dickheads like yourself who think they are kings of the internet. if you take a quick look at my profile you'll see i have gifted hundreds of dollars of games. thankfully i didnt gift any to you or your self righteous group.

if you need to chat to people that badly, try speed dating, although they might find you off-putting so perhaps try crisis line instead, its their job to listen.

WALLS said: i didnt really want terraria anyway

Good to know. Proves your intentions.

And it not that there's need to chat with people, it's being friendly which seems like something you're not. You're too hostile.

Good to know indeed..Actually applying for a group and not give a damn about its rules and enter raffles for titles one does not care about are all positive feedback factors about someone. Still wonder why he was kicked though...

well i dont want terraria enough to jump through the hoops of this control freak. but yeah get involved by all means, it clearly concerns you

Actually I think it concerns me a tad more than it does for a lot of the people who posted on this thread.

you just said all id have needed to do was enter chat once and make a cursory hello. you dont give a shit about being friendly, its about control for you man. its quite sad.

Correction, i didn't say you had to enter the chat once i said you could go to chat and say hi from time to time, if i was a control freak i would force people to talk or they'll get kicked, i'd also force people to gift for the group and i don't.

And for someone that doesn't care you're spending way to much time with this.

Also just so you know, i've asked if i should gift the game to you even though you go kicked and members said no. You don't know anything.

There isn't really any other reaction you could have at this point. Seems like a strange group to force "chatting," but hey, it's their rules.

What group is it, anyway? SteamGiftChatters would make sense, but I haven't started that group yet...

Why would a group offer giveaways to people who don't stick around and become a member of the community within the group? It just seems like you're rather butthurt that a group expected you to follow its rules and become a part of it, when you just expected that you'd be able to join their giveaways with nothing from your side.

Rules like that are to prevent people from being leechers inside the groups. Why be in the group if you are not going to participate in it? And participation doesn't mean entering their contests and doing nothing else.

yeah sorry im such a leecher of the community. btw compare how many games i have gifted and their collective value to how many you have, then compare how many competitions i have entered compared to you.

ps i dont think you can call people leechers before you (moneybags) has broken the $10 mark

If it was a Public giveaway, you'd have the right to complain, but it wasn't.

It really is your fault if you've joined a gifting group without reading the all rules they've set up for it. There's nothing you can complain or do about it, because these groups work independently from Steamgifts.com, which have set different terms for private and group giveaways. If they want active community members, and you clearly don't at least try to be like so, they have the right and power to kick you out of their group, and from their giveaways.

To be fair, those were the rules. To be extra fair, WALLS isn't really complaining. To be even more fair, he's a super generous member here. To be super duper fair, we're all friends here.

Look before you accuse of leeching, that's my motto.

OP questioned his win and was given the answer, but that didn't stop the apprehensive and accusatory comments here from people not even involved. "...rather butthurt..." made me lawl. This is why we can't have nice things.
