So all of a sudden, I can't log into steam via browser on my home computer. I can log in from the client, and other computers just fine, and I just used steam login to log into steam gifts - no problem...

Basically - I go to steam, or steamcommunity - click login - enter my details, it goes back to the main steam page or steam community page like normal, but I'm not logged in!!

I'm using Chrome on Windows 8.1 - but I tried IE also
Tried clearing cookies, browser history, etc
Tried restarting
Tried disabling extensions, etc...

All no dice.

I actually had a similar issue from my work computer last week - but after a couple days, it just kind of fixed itself... but this is driving me nuts! Anyone have any ideas?

Same issue here. Seems to be related to proxy or the network I'm connected to. Can't login from work, but I can login when connected to home network.

I have been experiencing this for the past few days. It creeps up almost once a day.

When I try to log-in, sometimes my profile appears at the top right corner of the screen, along with the login page. When I manage to get that, I log out from Steam from the menu under my user name. Once I've done that, I'm able to log back in until the issue pops up again the next day.

Have you tried to flush the dns? This fixes some browser issues.

opened a ticket moments ago , I'm having the same problem since this morning (10 hours passed already)
I still can't login in my account from any browser, but steam desktop client is working fine.
Created new user profiles for chrome and firefox (better than simply delete cache/cookies), disabled any AV/firewall software, nothing seems to help.
I can get to the steamguard popup and the code it's accepted , but after that I found myself not logged in.
I also tried on a different pc of my home lan, same story, and even on my android chrome browser I'm getting the same problem.
All the devices share the same internet connection, I can't reboot my router at the moment, maybe that could help. I'll try later.

well it seems messing around my router and connections solved the problem
I don't know what I've done exactly but I switched to a different internet connection just for a couple minutes and now I'm back to my own provider, even without rebooting anything or change my public ip solved the problem. Going to close the ticket after testing in my other home devices.

Wow... very bizarre... I can't mess with the router at work... I think many people would be upset! lol

I wonder if there's any connection to the fact that Steam keeps track of different IP locations for the purpose of logins?

Did you ever solve this? It sounds like we're having the same problems http://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/zRnT6/steam-login-problems

I don't know if its really solved.... haven't had the issue in a few days - but I didn't change or do anything - so maybe it was a steam bug, and they fixed it?

I had also suspected a chrome extension, so I had disabled that - and it still did it...

It happened to me a few days ago and solved itself for a while. Turning off the Enhanced Steam extension didn't help me either. I guess I'll just wait it out.

Make sure you delete every single steam related extension.
Pretty frustrating but it works. I waited a week and now it works

Yes, annoyed bug.
Sometimes it happens only in Opera 12 browser.
One day it was in almost all browsers (IE 11, Opera 12, Slimjet, Vivaldi), and even on tablet with Silk browser.

Had this for a week. Couldn't access any community or store related things. They didn't let me log in.
I seem to have fixed it though, I didn't delete any history or cookies.
I just restarted my computer and switched off and on the wifi. It worked, even though my phone had the issue, I could log in with my phone and computer.
Hopefully this helps.

I did indeed delete all my steam related extensions, and I'm not sure if that was the one that did it. After deleting and restarting my wifi connection it worked. And it still works after adding backmy extensions. Try it :D

Mine has been good for a few days now - but I will keep that in mind if it happens again.
