sry mate, if I meet 12 yo "youtuber" or "streamer" or something like that i rather ignore it... much young by me to expect "respect" from others... _"subscribers" or "fans" ... i advice you, wait few years. 12 is very very young... i have 13 yo sister and bro and I can not imagine classy youtubering or streaming.. but if you expect respect from others and sucess "youtubering" in this years its your choice.

Just because you do it for over 5 years, doesn't mean that you are going to get succes. The key to succes is make unique videos (so no minecraft videos) and play games that are really popular but don't have much videos on youtube. And if you can't entertain people well enough then you will never become "big."

im just saying over the years many people get better and then find a stroungsuit in youtube and then will blow up no like 1000000 subs but like 1k and ill be happy with that

Don't do it to be successful. It's hard to get there. I know people that post 5 videos a day and don't even have 5 subscribers. Their videos aren't even bad! They have all the equipment for good quality videos and what not.
My advice would be to do it for yourself. Doing this at your age you can train your wit and confidence doing some commentary... Hopefully!

If you want to stand out, don't do what everyone else is doing. Sure, those games are popular, but if you jump into that bandwagon you'll be just like everyone else playing those games. Unoriginal.
Go outside your comfort zone and try a new kind of game, one you aren't familiar with. Play a new game in a genre you enjoy. Or do what most Let's Players do: Play a game you love and know everything about. Share your passion for that game with your viewers.

It almost always becomes super boring as you quickly run out of things to say.
Sure, if you're great at video editing, and play a game that is hilariously terrible, you can make like a "best of" video, but then you really need to understand what bugs & issues actually are funny to watch

If you quickly run out of interesting things to say, it's not a good game to do a let's play of. If you want to make something that anyone would be willing to watch, you need to remain consistently interesting.
Let's for the sake of the argument say that you're making an Let's Play of the original Red Alert. For this game you can make comments on the strategies used on the different levels, comment on why you do certain things, explain unit interaction and so on. You need to be good at the game for this to work ,as otherwise you'll run out of things to say, and the levels will take too long.

Unless you can make failing fun to watch (very few can), stick with games that you are know a lot about and talk about what makes them so special. Stick with games that you think you can say something interesting about as you play.

Youtube is nice and all , i do enjoy quite a few youtubers myself .... but to jump into it w/o any plan ... asking ppl for what to actually do .
Its a way to fail Horribly from the start .
Not to mention being 12y old , you should focus on school and stuff .
yeah you may get bunch of following and viewers and stuff ... it all goes down the train REAL fast if you cant keep your content ... and doing the stuff that you think its the best isnt always the right decision ...
Not to mention LPs are slowly but steadily going down the drain ... only way to stay on top is to play a REALLY popular new release game over the course of few days , and pray you snach some views from the popular channels ..

Oh cut the crap. 12 year olds can play any game they want. I played games like Doom and Blood when I was younger then him (can't quite remember the exact age but somewhere between 6-10).

It's not about the game.It's more about what are you going to do including some commentary.The most three interesting categories are speed runs (The legend of zelda,Fallout....etc) Random Multiplayer footage which can be either funny or shows some good tricks and obviously gameplay videos for recently released titles (Until Dawn,Arkham Knight.... Etc)
