Anyone know about Precipice of Darkness, Episode One and Two appearing in their library?

So I was in a group chat and a guy comes in asking if any1 else had episodes 1 and 2 appearing in his library and he never bought them. Lo and behold I look in MY library and I see episode 1 appearing outta nowhere.

I never bought it and it's not even in my account history of me acquiring it in any way. The only thing we had in common was that we got POD3 during that key giveaway Penny Arcade did.

Mainly wanted to kno:

  • Is this a bug or legit & on the up and up.
  • If legit what do I have to do to get episode 2 :P

I don't want to start playin it and eith get penalised or lose the game and all my progress ....

nope. the only penny arcade game I've gotten is the third 1 from the key giveaway. Even my account details says nothing about where the game came from.

I got a key from the PoD 3 giveaway and never bought any of the others and I've only got the 3rd in my library. None of the others.

I'd hazard a guess on the side of a Steam error, simply because there's nothing substantial that I can find on SteamDB. Under the App search, nothing really pops. Under the Package search, there's a change of some sort from five days ago, but it doesn't look to me like it includes anything strange.
Had you ever played the demo? Maybe there's some remnant showing up from that for some reason -- if you haven't, the demo takes you through a decent portion of the start of the game, and I think the save carries over, so until you get to a genius's house (or even if you do get past that), I don't think you'd actually ever lose your save progress.

nope never played the demo (actually didnt kno they were on steam actually since when u search for "rain slick" 1 and 2 don't show). As I sad it just appeared. Really freakin strange

aaaaaaand I'm a moron. Apparently it was a part of the Hothead bundle from HB :P I bought the bundle for the deathspank series and totally ignored the fact that I got that game .... so Thx DeltaBladeX, he kinda pointed me in the right direction ...
