Can i play a game from US store which isn't in the EU store?

Hi, SG

I'm currently looking for the game "The Sum of All Fears". I can see the game is in the US store, so if somebody from US gift it to me. Will i be able to play it?

Should work, since the US store has no region locks.

Usually, you can. This is also how you can get an uncensored version of a game while living in a country where you can only buy a censored one... Unless that changed recently.

Games purchased from the US Steam store aren't region locked so you can activate and play them anywhere. I have a friend in China who can't buy Total War "blood" DLCs on the Chinese store so I send them to him.

There's no distinction between US and Canada on Steam as far as I know

Incorrect, CA store uses CAD not USD so there is certainly some distinction
