Did anybody had the same problem?

I recently received a cd-key from a friend for the game Blades of Time Limited Edition, I registered the game on my account, instal it but when I launch it (from library or desktop shortcut), I only see a bit of loading screen then a box with the message "Exception occured. Game will be closed!" appears and so it goes closed. Did any of you experienced the same problem? How did you solve it? Any future advices?
