I have like 200+ games on Desura. I have never launched any of them.

I think most of them are from IR bundles, so I have them doubled on Steam. Also, have too many games to play already! Cant just hop to a different service so easily.

My only issue with Desura is that I forget I have games on it. I've got Underrail (which everyone should get if you like fallout/Shadowrun type games) on Desura from a trader for a couple of cards. Played it a bit and then put it on the side. Haven't touched it in a while and I know I'll most likely be playing that game once I head out to college later this year since I'll need something to do inbetween classes.

I'm interested in Underrail, but I'll get it on Steam anyway.

Thankfully the developer stated that the Desura version will stay perfectly updated just like the steam version. I'd rather have it on steam too but the desura key was dirt cheap and I wanted it so I picked it up. The game is great and just yesterday (or the day before forgot which one just read the patch notes) he added more to the game (another town) and tweaked a lot of things in the game for the better. It seems that he releases a patch every week which is great and they've been treating this game like their baby and really trying to make the game great.

No steam - no interest

You have heard of games getting greenlit and giving Steam keys to those that own it on Desura, right?

Is this temporary free because of the launch, or is it - you know - free forever, as in freeware?

I think it's temporary. The Desura page lists $1.99 as the normal price.
