"Wolfenstein: Youngblood in-game currency can only be spent on weapon skins – not upgrades [Update]"

The Article is already fixed. Bethesda explained, that you'll buy cosmetic items for "gold" (converted from real money), and purchase gun upgrades for "silver" (found on levels)

You cannot use currency to upgrade your weapons, only skins. That was close.

乁( ◔ ౪◔)ㄏ
If 1) all the real money buys is cosmetics, and 2) in-game money--which can only be acquired in game--upgrades guns, meh. This latter bit [2)] is no different than many other games, including games such as Civ [where you spend resources, gathered via gameplay (turns), to build units].

clickbait article and terrible journalism as usual from these trash sites.

you don't pay for upgrades, you pay for cosmetics.

Isn't it primarily single player though? Why would you need cosmetics?

to show off to your co-op friend i suppose...
but who really knows, the mind of a skin-lover who pays $400 for a csgo knife is pretty weird. 😁

Happy cake day! I am using umatrix and can view VG without ads :) There are some sites that still have that pop up and I end up just blocking almost everything and only reading the text xD

I heard that New Colossus has really bad reviews

I played it, and I have to say, those reviews are well deserved.

Gunplay and graphics were good. Everything else was just awful.

Well glad I only got the double pack for Wolfenstein (Old Blood and New Order) Both really good games but feels like they are too short. Can't wait for youngblood ofc im sure it will have tons of replay value with co-op.

I would personally skip Youngblood based off the direction that TNC went it.

I did like some of the set pieces, though. New York and the bunker in America was pretty cool, but like I said in a previous comment, the level design was lack luster.

Is it really that bad? I was thinking about picking it up at a good discount but if it's not even worth the time I'll probably skip it.

It's bad. Shoe-horned in political messages. Boring story. Bad level design.

^ This. I was really looking forward to The New Colossus and boy was it a letdown. Not going to bother with Youngblood anymore, just hoping that Doom Eternal will live up to its hype.

I think in game microtransactions are fine as long as it doesn't affect others gameplay.

I think you need to change the poll.. because it's kind of wrong. I would never pay micro-transaction for a paid full-game but in f2p games I've spent a few bucks here and there to support the Dev's. Like Warframe I've spent money. Some F2P MMO's I was into in my younger days I've put a few bucks in.

i'm more concerned whether or not Arkane improved on level design, as that was the one real problem with MachineGames.

I'm amazed how Bethesda didn't start going exclusive on epic by now, since they're so desperate for cash with their mediocre games.

They just started their own launcher last year so their focus is pushing the community to their site.

It's "interesting" how their quality dropped since they are chasing market trends instead of doing what they are good at (Fallout 76 being live service instead of a proper RPG with story, Rage 2's gunplay and creativity gets overcast by the clouds of a too open world game)
