Honestly, I am tired of seeing posts that yell "FAKE!" whenever there is a giveaway being held. An example would be here:

Just, please make this a possibility. Seeing the phrase so many times by others makes me think that the internet will forever take control of their lives.

The thing is: how do you make this work without having some people use it to report all "Thank you"s? (Which, I think, at least the gifters appreciate. I did.)

It's actually against the rules to not say Thank you.

I know, but on average, people seem to be a bit undecided about this. When you look at the forum, some are against it, and call "thank you"s spam. And these users would report them, if they were given the button.

(Also, I bet all rules about saying this or not saying that must be very difficult to enforce, and I think I even remember loko saying they don't want to enforce this particular rule much. Explaining that a "thank you" because you have to isn't much of a thank you anymore.)

I consider hundreds of "thank yous" when only one person gets anything to be spam, but I wouldn't dream of reporting that sort of thing. As far as spam goes, unnecessary thanks are about as benign or well-intentioned as you can get.

What I'm saying here is that you're making kind of a far-reaching and poorly-founded assumption. I doubt anyone feels strongly enough about that kind of spam to report it even if they had a button to make it easier.

(Yeah... thinking about it, you've got a point, I guess.)

The Thing(2010... lol, I'm so funny) is: why would you report those comments? They're warning you about a fake giveaway.

Edit: "Seeing the phrase so many times by others makes me think that the internet will forever take control of their lives."
Wha--...huh?

... He's talking about random douchers that yell "FAKE" for no apparent reason without any proof. I have been seeing this too, its like an army of mind controlled fags spewing "FAKE" on everything. They don't even give a reason as why they think its fake, they just spew "FAKE". I'm strongly in favor of a report post button, I have even suggested this before.
