Bump.
Maybe implement a warning, in case a visitor has disabled js.

i had considered that, but haven't done it since so many sites require javascript and people who have it off probably already know what to do about it. plus the js blocker i use (umatrix) allows scripts from the same domain by default.
of course adding a message that javascript is required that only shows for people who have it off shouldn't hurt. i've added it to my list. did you have javascript disabled? if so, did it take you a while to figure it out?

Yes. I usually block all script from new domains :)
Edit: Yes, most probable people who block, know what to do.

i used to do that too with noscript in firefox and it broke practically everything ;). found umatrix when i switched to chrome and still have to enable stuff like google-hosted ajax libraries half the time. oh well.

thanks, i do most of my testing in chrome & iphone, with just some quick checks in firefox, opera, edge, and android. glad you liked nest vs. ecobee -- i figure not that many people have used both so i should write up my experience.

you mean <section id=features> on the front page, right? i’m assuming you’re in a wide enough window that they’re along the right side and not under the logo. so short names such as “blog” end up narrower than the others? still usable, right? just doesn’t look quite as good? i’ll add it to my issues list and see if i can track it down, but i don’t have access to a mac.

i’m now more than halfway through redesigning my website track7 and i’m happy with how it’s going, so i figured i’d give away some of my extra games to celebrate! i didn’t want to wait until the whole site was done partly because i’m impatient and partly because with the old design still in use it’s possible to compare. while i work on it i basically have two half-sites where one half has been replaced with my new design and the other half still has the old design — they don’t exactly work together. have a look if you like, or just scroll down to the giveaways. here’s the current status of each section:

most of my website (whether redesigned or not) accepts comments, and you don't even have to sign in first.. i love hearing what people think about what i have on my site! please put comments on the design on my blog post about the redesign. if you want to say “hey i looked at some of the site and it’s cool; thanks for the giveaways!” that’s better as a comment on this thread.
thanks for reading, here are some giveaways (open just the first one if you like trains):
nov 3 update: thanks to all who entered; giveaway keys and links have been released!
