I didn't win any giveaways, nor have I asked for gaming buddies, nor are they friends of friends or real friends...yet they keep on adding me, every time, a different random Steam user with a few number of games and a low Community rating.

Just why?

Scam bots. I get them all the time. As soon as you accept, do you get a long message from them?

I accepted one once, but he/she/it never responded to my messages...once it said, add this other friend who wants to trade with you...scam, right?

99.99999999999% chance of scam. It's so minutely likely that somebody with a brand new, empty account, would ever have anything legit and advantageous for you to want to participate in.
Would be great if people stopped falling for it, so all those bastards gave up, and we had less threads on here about people crying after they got their accounts or trades stolen.

Shitbags phishing for your account. Congrats, you're so popular!
I get an average of 1-3 a day, and ignoring them is just part of using Steam now, evidently.
