4 weeks of sales, just enough to lead right up to steams much-anticipated christmas sale?

Plenty of games in this weeks sale, the ones most noticable to me are:

Bad COmpany 2-6$

Homefront-$15

MoH 2010-$6

Metro 2033-$5

BIonic Commando rearmed-$3

Saints row 2-$5 (TWO TWO TWO TWO TWO TWO TWO TWO TWO -------NOT THREE)

If only Bionic Commando registered on Steam ... I so want that game.

Don't know why I'm forbidding myself to buy it. It is still the same game ...

Does Saint's Row 2 activate on Steam? Also, has the Win7/Vista issues (such as the speedup issue) been resolved yet?

No, it doesn't activate on Steam. Games that activate on Steam say "DRM: Requires a 3rd party download and account" in the Game Summary section.

SR2 was $3.75 on Steam during the Autumn Sale, you should have got it then. It will most likely be on Sale again during the xmas sale so you might as well wait until then.

this article says that saints row 2 does activate on steam? would it just be that specific key format or what?

Yes, it activates on Steam.
"DRM: Requires a 3rd party download and account" is only there, if you have to activate it on Steam, but in this case you can do it, but you don't have to.
The Steam support article about games, that can be activated on Steam isn't and has never been 100% accurate. You can trust that list only that far, as that every game on it can definitely be activated, but there are a bunch of games, not listed on there.

See my post above.
It does activate on Steam and the issue with the censored German version has reportedly been fixed.
I couldn't try it myself, because I actually live in Germany, but there are numrerous forum posts on Steam and game tutor articles on Gamersgate, that suggest you'll get the uncut version on Steam.

Where are you getting Bad Company 2 and Medal of Honour from? I searched for them, but only the Guides show up for $20.

Well, I can see it as 6$ and so can everyone else.
Did you click offers and scroll to it?

on steamgamesales.com it's 6$ or so, but in GG.com it's something like 15$.

"and so can everyone else"

No. These are EA games, and EA (like some other publishers) are very weird when it comes to where and how people can purchase their games. For some folks, Medal of Honor and BF:BC2 will not be available on GamersGate.

It will be very interesting to see how their "Today's EA Special" promotion turns out.

EDIT: It looks like GG has actually removed the majority of EA's library from my store view. I can look up EA's publisher page and the only game there is The Sims 3 Pets Create a Pet Demo. Oh good fucking grief.

I think it's region blocked. I can search EA's game catologue without a problem on GG's UK site.

I figured as much, but it must be a recent change. I bought Bulletstorm on there not too long ago, and I also remember thinking about getting Battlefield 3 from them. Now both have disappeared.

I went to the offers page AND the Holiday Gift Guide Sale page and scrolled through every game. I didn't see either of them listed. Must be region restricted.

I'm guessing BFBC2 activates on Steam? It says "DRM:Other DRM"

1 decade ago

It would probably activate on Origin, not Steam. You could always contact support to find out though.

Other DRM means Origin for sure :D.
DRM:Requires a 3rd party download and account << This is Steam for sure :D.

Unless my sarcasm detector is broken you're wrong. It only activates on Origin. BFBC2 is not a Steamworks game.

ah, i just explained to him, "DRM:Other DRM" is for Origin, "DRM:Requires a 3rd party download and account" is for Steam :D, u misunderstood.
