Send a support ticket and explain what happenned and also try to show proof of both things, the invalid purchase and that you sent the guy the Greed Corp.

I'm going to be in the exact same situation in about 3 days from now. After that (7 days after my giveaway ended) I'm contacting the support. Too bad there is no "system solution" (like auto-detecting the receive of the gift by the recipient).

Background story: Recently I won my second gift just a few days after the first win. So I decided to give back to the community - I got a few spare gifts from the Steam-Winter-2011-Holiday-Sale thingy. What a shame that the first of my giveaways was won by some random newbie who got only about 30 entries. He redeemed the gift right away (at least he haven't traded it away). But didn't even care to check the gift as received on SG (not to mention no thanks of any kind of some communication).

I was expecting to have slightly better feeling about my very first giveaway on this site. Well, still got a few gifts so I'll try again. Hope it will please somebody worthy, ie. 500+ entries with 0 wins (+ Faerie Solitaire of course).

EDIT: If I'm not mistaken, not liking my bad reputation is not just a whim. Every ignorant recipient renders me being able to gift less. This is particularly significant at the start of my gifting career. It also marks me as possible faker.

In defense for dalax I would like to point out that he gave away many keys within the comments of his giveaways he listed and also in a seperate thread here in the forum,

He also gifted me a Bundle URL around that time and gave me first picks in it as well before giving it out to others.

His heart is in the rite place.

You should not give away games purely for reputation. Wanting to be liked or respected is the most annoying need a human being can have.
Giving away stuff to contribute to a good cause (steamgifts included, at least to me) or to "spread love" seems better to me.

Now if you gave the game away to contribute, I'm very sorry for you, considering the fact that you gave something away while the winner didn't appreciate it. Keep in mind though that you did a good thing, which I and many others are thankful for :)
