I doubt a premium paid section would come soon. Or ever. The trading section is even more elitist than the giveaway one, where +1 rep entitles many people to act like as if they are the one who dictate every aspect of a trade. A premium feature where people could form an even more elitist club would be disastrous.

add a blacklist feature to hide users from sight - you wouldn't believe how helpful that would be
+1. There's some old trades got bumped by random person, but the owner of that thread has been inactive for a long time.

No. Try go to tf2outpost, most of the trades that got bumped was by these "premium user" that link their trades to dispenser.tf
(even some of them didn't trade anymore and their trades still getting bumped because they "forgot" to turn it off)

Thing is that asking for money in order to get more privileges than the others, is totally sh@tty. :/ And yeah, you explained just fine why this wouldn't work anyway. There's something similar in tf2outpost and it's kinda stupid.

More like:
- Add $ registration limit back, shittons of account with lvl 3 and 5 games who offer AAA games and sure wont go first and they are sure key (or untradeable gifts) ... check image if this seems like legit user (saw many like this) FOR DEAR GOD ADD (BACK) AT LEAST THIS!
- Add blacklist thing (blacklisted users cant access ur thread or react on you... too many ignorants, spammers and weird pipolz. (its too bothersome when u can say 500 times not interested in smth and 10 min later someone ask same trash agin)
- Auto-close all long time inactive threads. Guy offline 1 year+ and some (^^spammers/ignoratns) posting offers in his thread (stupid posting everywhere)
- Limit threads created per (some time) here is guy who creating 5 new threads daily as #@{. Bumping each every 5 min via comment. Clearly spam
- Ban scammers / problematic users, here are ones like +3/-19 and still can trade, put offers, create threads? Its some joke? Sure, we high reps wont trade but they aiming newbies...
- Finally take care about f#&@ steamtrades, its anarchy. U note some rule and reply is "fuck you" .... here someone say smth bad and get suspend in 15 mins.... on ST posting shits for months and nobody care.

btw your idea about "premium users" is total non-sense i think. Maybe if itll be based on time registred and rep, not really paid thing. Like registred 3 years ago and have 800+ rep, but not good idea at all by me.

U can have best idea ever but nobody will do anything. (i saw suggestions in past, nobody cares) since they added "trades" on different page, 0% care, its okay scammers stealing money or games, important is worthless CV, some weird rule about third party giveaways u cant post link coz they want join group... all these pointless and worthless things are important. Its too sad.
On SG drama about every trash thing and on ST where its about money etc.... totally nothing. Let pipolz register free games Steam account to scam other newbies, its okay. I can see every day lot of rule breaking, idiot acting.... and unable to do smth with it, sad feel.

Not caring much for giveaways myself; I know where you're going at (yeah trades could use more "love"). That being said, Giveaways
most likely make up the core-user-base of the entire community - of which probably only tops 25% of them engage in steamtrades.

I stopped bothering about Steamtrades because of the reasons you mentioned and moved all my trading to Barter. I can highly recommend this site, good trading going on there, system regulates itself, and if all else fails there is an ignore function ;)

Steamtrades was good and can be good agin but i dont know why they run it when totally dont care about it. Why its that big problem care about it? SG still something, still some drama, still talking and imporove anything. Steamtrades ignore. But why?

I dont know if for SG too, i dont have any alt, i cant try. But i think on SG is $100 still. Friend of mine tried register on ST with bot idle account just to try for fun... regi
But if u want scam someone on ST create steam, activate 2/3 trash free games and u can start. Very safe site. Its like u can go to plane with grenade. Same safety, unbelieveable. Found 3 weeks old another screen, screen of Steam profile of ST user, legit ... 1 game 1 lvl but registred on trading. Maybe i can find more if i check screen on phone but am too lazy i have xxx screens :D

There is a point! I want to see who has offered the same game as me to the trade post owner and for what price. That's quite important for me. Like, I'm selling Alien Isolation for 1000 keys (just a funny example). If someone offered him 10 days ago the same game for 900 keys and he said no, what's the point of me offering it for 1000 keys, since he'll not accept it?

And don't forget about the report feature. :B Everyone can scam, spam, annoy, etc. someone and get away with it. -rep is only for experience related to trades, so it doesn't help every time. Actually, -rep hardly helps at all. People keep scamming even when they have -rep. We need a report feature in order to ban them forever. >:(

People can unfortunately still link their ST-profile... which is perhaps even quite positive in point of their rep
... its not possible to see if someone is already banned ... just when you vist their steamgifts profil and even then

i think the one thing that we most need are price calculator and for how much someone wants to sell their stuff and for how much someone bought it like steam does.
This way all prices would be visible and people could make the best deals. of course with verification to not abuse the system.

on barter you get way more lowball offer. barter is mostly only good for 1:1 low bundle trades. but for higher cost games its useless in my experience.

With those huge threads and limited search possibilities Steamtrades was never of a big interest for me. Barter.vg provides way more help for matching. So thumbs up for all who want to improve ST.. ^^
