Do you think you will ever play all or most of those games.. I've hit the 1k mark not too long ago and at times I seem to only play 1 or 2 games but I have 3 hdd's so I download games intending to play them. but never usually do. I want to try and stream so that would forcibly make me play random games but then I don't think I'm a good commentator. I'd probably be shouting too many profanities.

There's no way in hell I'll ever play all the games I own.
It'd take several lifetimes.

Fortunately most of them are from bundles. :X

I dint played 5% of my games yet, not sure if i will ever play it since i have university and i will try to get a master degree....
So i will probably never finish the backlog...
I am struggling to just collect the free cards. at least the free drop packs are nice.

Last year on march i had something near 200 games... now i have 2300+ and it increased pretty fast, most of my games come from bundles... yeah most of them are not AAA or AA, but i have a some good games.
I am trying to spend less on games since i already have to many and no time to play them since i enjoy more watching streams than actually playing the games.
And still there's the problem i said before, University takes to much time, and i only have time to actually enjoy and play games between december and february.

~700 games in my library. I was thinking of doing Youtube videos on them, maybe that will force me to at least try them and it might give me some more exposure and diversity from the racing games I already have up on the damn site, alas ...I'm still in the process of thinking.
Streaming would be an alternative but certain factors do not allow me to talk for hours on end.

I will probably have played them all at some point. With the exception of a few duds. Then again, with 108 games, it is achievable. As long as you are not a compulsive shopper ;)

Wait, you can actually PLAY those games? I always thought people are just collecting them.

I WAS WRONG FOR THE ENTIRE TIME!

Of course I'll never play every single one of them, life is too short for playing all games ever released, you need to maintain your priority queue aka backlog. But on the other hand, some games are so bad that I'm actually happy having other better games to play

You should try steaming! As long as you stream on a regular basis, it won't matter if you shout out profanities; the best part is that the more you stream, the better the commentator you'll become :D

We have a hard time resisting the cognitive bias of pouncing upon a good deal just because it is a good deal, regardless of need or ability to consume. When we see a good or even great game on sale for a fraction of its current regular price, or the tremendous game:dollar value of a good bundle, we want to buy because we like a good deal. This is what is exploited by shopping channels, informercials, limited time offers, and other marketing techniques. These techniques are used because they are effective. Not everyone is susceptible to over-acquisition, but everyone suffers from some cognitive biases, and the inability or unwillingness to pass on a good game deal because we have too many games already is one that is really popular amongst this user base. As such, we do not really acquire a game specifically to play it; we are quite aware that we are merely acquiring a future gaming option, with the likelihood of actual playing the game 'certain' at its highest and 'never' at its lowest (for some of us).

Consider that many users of this site are attracted to the idea of acquiring games for free without thought or care to whether they will play them. This was true even before trading cards added a minimal but real value beyond access to the game itself. Personally, I blacklist poorly reviewed games and additionally do not redeem keys for bad games in otherwise good bundles, or bad games that have been offered for free elsewhere. But for some, the bias toward incrementing their games library by one, even if the game does not have cards and most likely never will, even if the game is the worst mobile-port, early-access, unfinished, buggy, stock assets, barren multiplayer piece of junk, is massive.

TL;DR No.

i like your train of thought. It is true, I tell myself I wont buy a game until I at least complete a game or if I really want it like I went out my way to get the evil with in boxed copy when it went on sale and then played 2 hours and realized RE4 is better and I still didn't beat that game.. I tend to try out games and then forget about them but I usually jump on good deals like humble bundles..
