[Deadlight] Randall Wayne's mental health?[Spoilers]

Well, actually I always like to wonder about games, films and everything at all. What I thought about that game is that, we are never sure when it is a hallucination or a real following.
For example, when at the end he ''rescues'' that girl, maybe it's a hallucination?
If we talk about nightmare mode, well... I haven't done it too, cause my laptop got broken. What we can assume from it is, that nightmare mode is just a normal campaing with no saves, and maybe some explanations.
Storyline is not as good as we could expect, but is mindblowing as hell :)
I don't remember that game much since I ended it at January, but it took my breath and if I could stay all night without sleep I would do this with only one try. Highly recommended to those, who haven't played yet :)

The guys's really not right in the head anymore by the time the game starts. But then, neither are most other people you encounter.
The way I understand, Randall went off the deep end after mercykilling his family, which is shown in the flashback scenes. Then by the end of the game he recovers enough to realize that he can save the girl this time, as long as he sacrifices himself to do so. Which he does.
