Nah. Generous people are the best. Like me, sending random internet users half way across the world some physical games using my own money.
Though I admit, only two people in the UK have received games from me. US gamers are more common, and even Aus gamers got more from me.

But what about Suikoden 2, most of the PS1 Final Fantasy games, some Tales of tiles, Legend of Dragoon and other games I've parted with over the years rather than let them collect dust?

Indeed. Now, they are enjoyed by people who wouldn't have paid for copies on eBay.

If the community's average age grew by about 3-5 it could be nice. As it stands I can have a decent discussion once in a blue moon, but even then the discussion is good enough for me to stay. Also, all forums I like have died out and browsing 4chan at work is not a good idea.
