Eh not too optimistic about the remake. Faces look weird, voice actor sounds too deep like a chain smoking biker. The tone just seems off overall, remake James is way too emotional, expressive and sad. Original James was an emotionless husk of a character, numb, lost and disconnected from reality. Plus it's Bloober team, their games was always a 7 at best for me.

The Medium is not even a 7. The storytelling was abysmal. To think that game is what scored them the SH gig...

words can't describe how excited i am for this and the other silent hill projects. i was kinda pissed when the kojima game got canned, and before that all the junk games. hopefully they do my boy some justice this time. they're sitting on a damn gold mine.

Personally, I think everything shown in this presentation was literally perfect and we might actually live in a timeline where Konami does good things again (even if that's just licensing their properties right). Kinda surprised there are haters for any of this but I really shouldn't be at this point.
On a fantastic side note, the music for this is being made by Akira Yamaoka and my mind blew when the trailer mentioned that.

I had played and won all 32-bit era Silent Hills and Resident Evil games.

Used to play the heck out of this game on my PS2 late at night, don't think a game has creeped me out the same way since. The atmosphere, music and aesthetic were just perfect. I'm not going to preorder or anything but I am stoked for the new release.
