Now G2A has them ! G2A + Gambling = Gambling squared.

Funny thing is that you can do free test spins without receiving the games and even then 99 of 100 times you get 0.01$ shovelware.

I wont put in the links,we all know there to find them...if for some reason you want to.

What a great time to be alive.

Heh, I've seen this recently. It's just like "buy 1 random key", but they are trying to give you more hope to win a good game this way. xD

Distribution of keys can be anything. For example only one "entry" for each of AAA games and tens of thousands of 0.01$ games in sum. Even if someone wins better game and shares own lucky occasion (or if it is shared there automatically), statistically these boxes would bring tremendous profits. And this assuming that everything is implemented completely legitimately even in this scheme.

Then, who would forbid shady site to exclude AAA entries from most of runs and distribute these (if any) with any convenient principles (for example to users who has proven that they have addiction, to make it even worse). No one can force them to show the exact code of their site. Somehow people don't care about how honestly they are being serviced when in vicinity there is an expensive something which can be acquired for cheap. The idea of spinning random games itself is odd. Implies buyer is not going to play anything, they want just to get something expensive for less than it costs - and in result they may lose much more. This would be playing on simple greed again, but unlike on SG, there users pay dearly. In teaching sense this is even a good lesson, which gypsies are gladly providing for centuries to naive people. But in this case, G2A gets the money.

Anyway it is peculiar even to have these loot boxes as they are not store but reseller. They don't have "leftovers" nor any product for sell on their own, is it so? It is the same as SG would suddenly have loot boxes :3

And the way spinning is implemented is just.. no words. Of course result is generated the moment you press the button and everything happening with pictures is just a small show. If it really works on people like that "Oh I was so close" then it is of course even more scummy. I couldn't really speculate on this. Does anyone feel looking at this roulette, that animation is really random and could go just a bit more (I mean, even if you know that it is not)?

On other hand I guess people are longing for any positive feelings in our world of indifference and silence. "Winning" something nice may make you feel that you are lucky and in some sense, rewarded, taken care of, loved (by life, by universe, etc doesn't matter, by something with regard to which every person is a kitten and just gets a boon). And oh well. G2A is not the one who cares about anyone :) If anything above would leave me indifferent, for playing on this I despise them. Makes people even more hollow.

I stumble upon your comments every now and then, are you a blogger or writer? They tend to be extensive and well structured.

My family got destroyed because of gambling so I am not fond at all about loot boxes and crates in the slightest. I agree with your thoughts, specially the last paragraph.

Thanks, this is sweet, but no, I am not :) I have started to learn proper writing in English only this year, to compose scientific texts correctly. Still a long way to go, they are really clumsy and it takes too many time.
Frankly speaking I tried to write some tales and stories since childhood, but it wasn't to become a writer. Blogs.. this is more for topic-starters, and while I often have something up for discussion, themes don't fit such format: it takes very specific circle of interests and temper to deal with. Usually not for ready opinions but for thinking over. Completely uncorrelated to SG for instance. In fact even writing these comments, more than often it feels that this is probably pointless. (It is difficult to relate). It is not really that important to express the opinion ("no one's opinion matters to anyone in internet"), but some pretty naive thoughts make me write sometimes. Especially when my direction of thoughts is underrepresented: I may try to show that there exists such. So that it could be considered by someone who reads all the comments and looks for something to resonate inside with. Huh, it is like a pride parade thing - to show to someone different that there exists a difference (on point of view level), and to someone alike that they are supported. I also like to add unproven yet, experimental conclusions and nuances to bounce these from others and get a refinement. Almost never happens, unfortunately.

Plus sharing experience and thoughts may help someone to look from new or more critical point of view, and this would be great. Sometimes I have a lot to tell, although it may be bold to expect that I have really broad experience in life. But I like to watch people, people are strange. They get in many peculiar situations and it is important to learn from these. On gambling topic and everything related I have also own experience from different angles too. I love opening "treasure chests", and pleasant sudden occasions make me happy. I like to make sudden presents to myself too. But one needs to maintain insane control over what is happening.
Worst thing is that person can persuade themselves in something wrong and harmful. Often by inaction. Probably just for a moment - but this moment should be checked. Possibility of meta-control over biological machinery is special ability of being in human body :) It is a real magic. I feel almost sorry for too extensive text. But probably it could make you feel warmly if you consider that I was answering to you. Also, lol, it is funny but I feel a bit sorry for DontBeSilly. I have noticed more than one time in the past that after my comment topic was basically "dead" (:

Interesting. More inquiries sparked in my mind but I wont bother you, you must have other things to do and games to play of course.

But beyond that, I feel you could make good articles for various topics, and if you ever need to work remotely or make a side income you could try sites like ContentGather or many others were you write articles, upload them and someone else buy them. You may not need this information but since I can only assume and speculate, I will present it anyways.

Lastly, don't be silly, I am sure DontBeSilly wont think that you killed the thread hehe.

It's only a matter of time before loot boxes give you lootboxes, like those starter packs in MMOs.
