Nice. Guess I can skip the base game if I ever get it.

it just doesn't make any sense to preorder or buy at launch any of these high-profile titles anymore. i was pretty interested in dishonored (still am, actually), but haven't bought it yet. now i can buy the goty edition "whole" game for less than the base game's launch price. i'll still wait for a sale though -- i have bioshock 2 (which only runs for me now that they updated it not to use games for windows live) and assassin's creed revelations to play for now anyway.

I feel the same - I actually filtered out Borderlands 2 from the giveaway list because I knew that if I won it here I'd end up spending more to get the "complete" version than I would holding out for the GOTY version on sale. Ditto for Saints Row 4.
I'm hoping there's a bit of a backlash at some point and people start demanding reasonably priced upgrades (standard -> GOTY edition) for all games with large amounts of DLC. You can do that with Civilization 5, hopefully more companies follow suit.
