QUESTION - Is confirmed that DayZ is going to be released as a standalone game?

I'm just dubious of purchasing ARMA 2: CO for DayZ, because I don't really wan't ARMA 2, what I really want is to play DayZ mod.
So anybody can tell me if it is really going to be standalone? Thanks.

im not sure if its confirmed but i think it is. personally i wouldnt have bought it today if my brother didnt want it so badly. im looking forward the WarZ way more

Yeah, The War Z is looking good, but we haven't got any gameplay videos yet, only environment pics, that looks amazing by the way.

I agree, i would want to see some gameplay first before making any judgements, though, the fact that they've been working on this for over a year now, building it from the ground up, does inspire some excitement in me and i would love to get in the beta.

Really it's crappy? Wow you must be in the closed alpha/beta and have some sort of knowledge that we the uninformed don't have. Did you break your NDA by saying it's crappy, care to elaborate? It's not even out yet so thank you but no for that well rounded review.

Its a mmorpg version of dayZ of course its gonna suck. And thats not even the stand-alone version of dayZ. DayZ will evenutally be a standalone game.

i read today, that it's going to be released this year, before christmas, as a standalone. two independent polish gaming sites wrote an articles about it.

Don't bother game is full of hackers, and bugs. Id say 90% of my deaths are due to hackers or in game bugs killing me. There is nothing the Day Z team can do about it though, its a battle eye/Bohemia issue, unless they jump onto a new engine and get a new anti-cheat Day Z is gonna fail.

Its really aggravating making hours of progress of collecting items and surviving only to be teleported onto a roof with the rest of the server or instakilled by some 15 year old script kiddy.
