One key per tier and region lock suck for sure. But i think ill get tier1 since i got none of them on steam. My only concern is those games are slightly old and i played all of them. So only nostalgia value for me.

Probably the same way you get extra copies from Dawn of War II Gold, Orange Box, etc.

VERY interesting bundle, would probably go for tier 2, but I'm boycotting this stupid '1 key per tier' policy (I know that it's most likely coming from the publisher and not from Humble but I hate it badly anyway)

Permalink

The single key per tier sucks a little bit but I'm anyway missing a lot of DLC here and there that amount for far more than 12$ even on sale

1 key per tier? :( already own most of those games so doesn't seem worth it
just don't have...

-Total War: ATTILA (Total War: ATTILA has a lotta DLC =P)
-Total War: Shogun 2 - Fall of the Samurai Collection
-Medieval II: Total War™ Kingdoms
-Rome: Total War™ Collection
(want to get Total War Collection one day which seems like it would be a cheaper option?)

-Shining Force
-Shining Force II
-Columns™
(Want to get SEGA Mega Drive Classics Collection so doesn't seem worth getting these now)

-Eastside Hockey Manager

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Yeah, just go for the Total War Collection. With one of the availeble bundles on steam you also get most dlc (I think), so that will be worth it (not sure if Attila is in there though, but that one goes on sale for 75 % off pretty often). Those games are truly amazing! My favorite game series, just can't stop playing them (so excited for warhammer as well!).

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Yeah Total War Grand Master Collection is currently missing at least
-Medieval II: Total War™ Kingdoms
-Total War: ATTILA + DLC
-& of course the newest title Total War™: WARHAMMER®

maybe in a few years it might be more Complete

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

so even if they never go into the collection ain't loosing out by that much
12usd to nzd = 17.77 + fees < 18.745NZD (3.7475 + 14.9975)
59.99 - 75% = 14.9975 (Total War: ATTILA)
14.99 - 75% = 3.7475 (Medieval II: Total War™ Kingdoms)

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Warhammer is not released yet, so it makes sense not to include it. And you really don't need Attila + dlc if you're new to the franchise or only one or two titles. Each title can provide hundreds of hours of fun, so that should be enough for a Attila complete edition or so to come out.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I've got so many other games to play & have Empire: Total War™ & Medieval II: Total War™ still to clock so I waiting should save me some money, probably ain't going to have much of a chance to play much of them at the moment sadly. ahhh & DLC can't handle not have a complete version of the game =P & getting that DLC without being in total collection or Attila complete edition is way too much money. I have been fairly tempted to get the current "Collection" edition though but logically waiting seems like a better idea =P

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I probably would feel the same (already own all games and dlc of the franchise, except some Empire dlc). But honestly, most dlc are not even really needed. All they do is add some factions, who you might not even play with (except if you're a big fan and play with (almost) all factions).

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

yeah would want to play with all the factions to see the different mechanic implement. Are you excited for the new warhammer game coming? i bet there is going to be a lot of pricey dlc races for that

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I honestly don't care if there are gonna be a lot of dlc races. I'll probably play them all anyway (I'm a huge Total War fan) and they will all be very different from each other. I'm super excited for it by the way, just can't wait to play it. :D

Nooby question: How can i see to which region is restricted? D:

Permalink

it will be restricted to the region of the purchaser, if I'm not mistaken. For example, if you live in North America and you buy the bundle, the keys will only be activate-able in North America.

And somebody knows which is the region of italy? :s

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I'm not sure, sorry. All I can tell you is that you should be fine if you plan on activating the keys yourself. If you want to give them to someone else, though, you'll have to make sure they live in the same region as you, and I have no idea how humble defines "region".

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Italy is EU1. :) Though it would probably be redeemable for ROW I would imagine, or the very least all of EU.
Wasn't there only region lock to the Asian countries mentioned in OP? Don't think you need to worry.

The 66% Football Manager 2016 coupon is somewhat appealing. Lowest pice via the Steam Store was $25, this would let me get it for $16.67 and would have to spend $5.34 to do so for a total of $22.01 + I'd get whatever games I don't yet have from tiers 1 and 2 of the bundle.

That said, FM 2016 will probably go to 66% off or more during the summer sale and I could always find someone who I trust in my region to buy it for me using their coupon if they've bought this bundle.

Own all but one, that I'm not interested in. Anybody knows Valkyria Cronicles is worth getting into by the way? I'm thinking of installing a new strategy game of my backlog (since I'm probably gonna finish XCOM 2 very soon) and I'm thinking about doing this one.

My BTA is locked at $4.25. That means $1.00 for tier one and $3.25 for tier two.

I'm mainly getting tier 2 to fill out the collections, so the question is, are Total War: Shogun 2 - Fall of the Samurai Collection and Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II - Grand Master Collection worth about $1.50 each? Is that a good deal despite the waste?

Thanks!
But I did know this already.

Point is that for me the price doesn't lock, so I still have to beat the current BTA when I tier up.

I know for sure that browser refreshes after I reboot computer or just restart the browser.
If I don't do that it may lock, guess I have to try that out.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Ah damn, I took ages to make that reply + taking screenshots, meanwhile doing other stuff xd.. didn't see you wrote this.

Well, it has nothing to do with browser refreshing. I bought $1, and this is how it looks for me. Once you bought it the price is locked.
Just add in $1 to see where you locked the BTA to. As you see for me, I locked it when it was at $4.64. :) Right now the BTA is $6.41.

If you claim to still have this issue, I would suggest contacting HB support!

It's not a myth. :) Let me show you with images where you need to go to increase the price (from the bta price the time you purchased):

Go to your download page for the specific bundle, and the top of it (before you see the keys) looks like this. Click on that and you can increase the price. If you beat the average or enough for the 3rd tier, it's not just a donation to HB, but you actually get the games. Even if the bundle has ended! (Note: they recently changed it to around 1 week~ after that you cannot increase the price anymore)

So e.g. now I can increase the price and receive the BTA for the bundle that ended yesterday. Looks like this. As you see the bta is locked! I already paid $1, and to beat the average (which yesterday was at $7.49), I need to pay $6.49.

I hope that helped! ^-^

Oh WOW will certainly have to try this at some poin, thankst!

I did buy a bundle awhile back and then asked Humble support how it worked if I wanted to tier up.
They basically said I had to beat the current BTA!
Ofcourse it would not have been in their best interest to say to me that I had already locked the BTA with buying tier 1, but it would have been nice if they had done that!
