Steamgifts is using markdown formatting, similiar to reddit one. Use the guide Buginoidz gave you for additional info on how to do what specifically ;)
Also, you can use some plugins for the site which add easy formatting buttons to reply boxes.

I've been on these forums for awhile, and I can't help but notice that the commands for things like bolded font or text links are different from other forums. So here I am flatout asking. What are the commands for bolded text, text links, strikethrough, different colored text and bulletpoints. Is it so simple I'm just overthinking it or it is really as different as it is on other forums?
