Permanently cut the topic, still have a GA hidden somewhere though.

Calling out is against the rules. You should delete anything that links to the other guy, before you get suspended.

uhh...isn't that the whole thing? So I should just delete this whole topic?

You don't have to delete the topic, just censor his name.

It can seem stupid, but as long as you don't tell the name, or don't agitate against somebody, you can tell the story. Like "somebody posted something on my profile" - even if it's still there, it's not against the rules telling a story about it. Only calling out is against them.

yes, and wait for mods reaction. It'ds mod job to decide what is wrang and what is ok. Not yours or ours, neuither sharing this and calling out will not change your situation in any way, since only mod can fix it anyway. All you do is creating unnecessary flame and witch hunt.

Also fake -rep in revenge for fake -rep is also against the rules.

I will wait for the mods reaction. I also wanted to know public opinion though. When something says "curiousity" it clearly means "fix", right?

There's a sticky that says "gives fake feedback-like comments are acceptable."

then you basically wait to get banned.

From FAQ:

Please do not call out users in the forum or chat. Submit a ticket in the Support Forum.

There is no room for "interpretation in this point. It is simple and straight forward and you refuse to follow it even if multiple users already explained it - so it's not even a case of not being aware of the rules, but of awarely breaking them.

I am not calling anyone out right now.

and that's how it should be - let the support handle an issue instead of creating a witch hunt that will not lead to anythig anyway.

that's how it was when you first commented...like, the second js mentioned that calling out was against the rules I remembered and ctrl+x'd the whole topic. It's not a witch hunt, I'm just curious what other people think about it.

Unfortunately I think you were in the wrong here. You agreed to the price. While potentially morally ambiguous, he did nothing wrong. Legally or by rules of any of the sites involved.

I agree. He agreed to the price, it was a successful trade. Learn from your mistake, and check prices more thoroughly.

A little column A, a little column B. Also, you can check to see if a game was bundled in the past using SteamGift's very own Bundle List

Should come in handy in the future.

Well, I knew it was bundled in the past. What I didn't know was that it was bundled roughly half an hour (or less) before I made the trade. EnhancedSteam didn't show it, either. I mean, for future reference to myself, I'm going to delay anyone who comes directly to me for a trade with a steam key for 24 hours just to be safe.

( Steamgifts bundle list sometimes getting updated only 1-2 days after the bundle, somebody wrote on the forum that only 2 guys tend it - and they can't update it always immediately. So sadly the steamgifts bundle list not alway correct)

Well yes, I read the story, the 'ticket' and the link he provided in it. I can agree with Enverex - you agreed the trade. It's always the buyer's job to look after the 'stuff', not the seller' to inform the buyer. A negative comment would be understandable, after he behaved in a rude way (sorry, but so far no proof for that) but -rep on a trade site because he was 'rude', and you wasn't paying attention to prices is not cool.
TLDR: you wasn't scammed, you just hadn't got enough info and therefore got yourself in a disadventageous situation.
I'd dare to say it's worth like..1? 1.5? bucks to get this life lesson. Life won't go easy on you anytime, in the future be sure and cautious to get the best deal possible, be it a game or a new couch, car, or house.

See, what I don't understand about this is that you're demonizing -rep. Why wouldn't you use -reputation for ripoffs? The way everyone is acting, they're making it sound like -rep should only be used on people who should be banned for their actions. It's a reputation system. I wouldn't go to my friends and talk positive about a guy who sold me something at 4x the accepted price, I would go and tell everyone to avoid that guy like the plague. Why is it any different here?

What you should understand is that ypu should follow the rules, not "what you feel like it should be" - Here you can clearly see what feedback can and cannot be used for. What you should negative feedback for according to this is Scammers/Impersonators and warning the community about those. What you should NOT use it for is attitude related feedback.

If you disagree with the rules either don't use a service or propose system changes, but you disagreeing with the law doesn't give you permision to break the law.

Only 8 people have entered the GA so far. It's somewhat harder now without the links to my steam profile, hint hint.

It's impossible to get to my steam profile from here? I thought you just had to click on my name, then click the "click here" button that is across from steam profile. I guess I was wrong and no one will ever find my GA now.
