In my case, Yirg is a short for Yirgacheffe - my favorite type of Ethiopian coffee beans.

What's the meaning of your username?

Oh, and meet Millie, Pester and Pongo :-)

My usual net nickname is Luthien who died like human from The Silmarillion by J.R.R. Tolkien.
I used my ID as SG name before, then I found I could change the Username about a month ago. Although I wanted my usual nickname, someone already got it. So I made a alternate name of Luthien+part of ID.

I've got no idea ¯_(ツ)_/¯

But seriously - around 12 years ago when I had been looking for my first game name I was quite obsessed with certain cRPG game. So it's just my sex (Ms) + game title acronym. And I got so used it to it that I don't have any problem when looking for name for my new characters :D But at the same time I don't understand the struggle people have when they have to pick up name for their peeps.

My username has several origins, from Arabic, Armenian to Hebrew. I took quite a liking to it when I first heard it. :)
It's the name of a legendary king.

I mainly use "Grumpy Butler" and it has kinda weird explanation.
1st part - It describes mood i'm mostly in, therefore Grumpy.
2nd part - Describes common and normal person yet it still has "classy" vibe, if you will.
After you put that together it sort of becomes a little bit psychological.
Thought behind that - you can be president or any other "known" person but you will always be served by common butler, therefore he should be treated with respect no matter how "known" one is.After all, you can never know what chef's and butler's put into your plate or how is it delivered. My ENG skills isn't that great and i couldn't really explain thought behind nickname but i hope you get it.

Funny thing is, my name isn't even Nelson haha

The Nelson part is actually from MajorNelson Which name isn't even Nelson neither haha which was at one time the CEO of Xbox.
The Core part is because I wanted it with my logo I make music, so that's why it kinda sounds like an artist name, or at least I hope that's how it sounds haha

Long story short, I got rid of the "Core" part of my logo, but kept the name because I thought that it was aesthetically good.

The reason "Nelson" is all caps is that I was in a crapton of caffeine while I was designing my logo, so I did some weird decisions back then

Played a game on Steam where you run around in the dust and blow the brains out of everyone.
Changed my name mid-game to "The Chicken" to taunt a player on the other team that called me names because I blew his brains out in the dust a few times. No less than 5 players on the other team changed their names to the same and total chaos ensumed.
There was a lot of Chicken-y name-changes going on, after a while we hardly knew who was blowing the brains out of who, but it was all good fun. For a while.
Next time I logged on I used the name REAL Chicken just to make a point, and the name just stuck. Then I added the SWE 'cause I got so tired of the chat question "Soooo, where are you from?"...

After a while I thought that REAL Chicken SWE was a bit long, so it got shorted to RCSWE, but that didn't work to well on game-speak, you try screaming "RCSWE, blow that frackers brains out" and you'll understand...

So now I use RCSWE when a site is text based (as it is here), and REAL Chicken when voice is included (like when I run around in the dust blowing peoples brains out).

Yeeees, I like blowing peoples brains out in the dust, can't you tell?

I used to play War of Warcraft (still do from time to time) The first character I made was an undead warlock.. I wanted a name that sounded like a creepy version of a Disney princess. I liked the name so much I use it on steam. :)
Edit: Spelling is hard!

Hello. I am armpit, but on here I am 4rmpit because some goose already took my name.

I can assure you that none of you will like me because I am one cranky old bastard!

As for the name armpit. It comes from a classic Aussie move called Mad Max. I will give one of my spare steam keys to anyone who can describe the scene it comes from.

Well I've been stuck with the nickname Enjo since I was little for some strange reason... I remember that my best friend started calling me that when we were little because there was an anime character with a similar name and my real name also starts with En- so since then I've been using it for registrations on websites, character names etc. but unfortunately not many places allow 4 letter usernames or Enjo is already taken so I just put the "bg" which is just short for Bulgaria as it's my home country.

Lately thanks to a typo another friend made my nickname has evolved to Nejo but I haven't started using that in usernames :D
