What are some good linux racing games? I know that you would be hard pressed to more hardcore action than Snuggle Truck, but please try. I am trying to find a racing game for my DIY-SteamMachine.

Check out Distance, coming from the guys who made Nitronic Rush (Windows only unfortunately).

Also, not promising. Emulation of older console games might be your best choice.

The game count is depressing, but Joe Danger 2 is a fun game and dirt-cheap for a few more hours in the current HIB.

Little Racers Street should be coming to both Linux and Steam soon.

Play Dwarf Fortress, build two rails with carts inside. Put a dwarf inside each cart. Race.

Bonus points for having to jump over lava pits, for being pursued by a dragon, and for flying out a cliff and ending up on a goblin army. Bonus points for dismembering the said goblins, bonus points if they are zombies. Bonus points if your dwarves are babies.
