Maybe not this year, but previous years there was often a big difference. Games would often go on multiple different sales with varying levels of discount. I anticipated they might quit this practice because of the new refund policy allowing a refund for a price change. I haven't been following the summer sale much this year yet.

It might have been 2 or more years ago that I reference but I do remember multiple occasions during a holiday sale buying a game and then it showing up on a flash sale for cheaper. It was a risk you took whether you bought it then or waited.

On steam are the "Flash" deals usually the best discount that a title will see throughout a sale?
Or are daily ones typically better, or is there basically no difference?
