Rising Storm (Upgrade)

Since red orchestra 2 was free yesterday, Im assuming it didn't come with rising storm. Is it safe to just get the "digital upgrade" for 2.50 and get all of the features of rising storm?

You can play Rising Storm with Red Orchestra2, however you'll be locked to use the RifleMan class only. And you wont level/get any upgrades from Rising Storm.

So if you want to be able to use more weapons and classes: Then yes its worth the 2,50.

Also, 2,50 is a steal for an amazing game like this.

EDIT: Read your message wrong: No you won't get Rising Storm with just the upgrade. You need the game itself. The upgrade just gives some extra items for in other games.

I went ahead and just got Rising Storm GOTY, can't pass up the sale. haha - Had 2.90 in steam wallet from cards and such, so I ended up getting it for only 2.05

Great! You won't regret it, RO2 an RS are getting lots of content updates (new maps, game modes, RO2 even got new vehicles!) for free!

Wait, Red Orchestra 2, when it came out, had no multiplayer? Because it says it was released on 2011. Rising Storm was released on 2013.

I don't get it :-P

Rising Storm is a standalone expansion of Red Orchestra 2's multiplayer.
