Not a good philosophy. People who are willing to take risks, or trade "codes" often come out with a lot more than you could imagine. :) But there's always a "risk", and it's critical to look at their rep, amount of games, and not to go first if it's a "large" trade.
It's also a bit funny how some people will like blast indie codes at you, and give you much more than you ever bargained for. Sometimes I give someone an extra game just out of kindness. (especially friends)
Although this is not really fair, you can sell something like Men at Arms + the DLC (~$1?) to someone for like over $10 who doesn't know about the bundle, then buy 2 more copies of the bundle...along with everything else...(I don't scam people like this, but some people do...) This is especially true with old bundles with real value today.

I actually did something to help.
I reported him under user misconduct including your steam id, and included the critical point about him hiding his profile (private) in order to conceal his wicked deeds.
If Steam has a good staff they will see you send the code, see him activate/gain access to the games, see he scammed you in chat, and this user will get punished for it. Maybe ^_^

That's a little harsh, I only trade if someone has the item in their inventory. Trading for keys is just asking to be scammed.

Honestly nobody cares about reports on steamtrades, actually proper place to report scammers is http://steamrep.com/
Just prepare some logs/screenshots and you're good to go, he'll get flagged as scammer.

This guy just scammed me. Gived him king arthur collection (thank god i've got it from the indiegala colossus bundle) and then leaved saying he didn't have the keys.
