So I got an email from some one called Vivian and the email of sender ended in yahoo.com.sg

At first, I thought it came from SteamGifts (SG), Ididn't reply to it, instead I checked here first. Found nothing to indicate it was from here. Did a search for yahoo.com.sg and found it is the Singapore domain for yahoo. Marked it as spam and deleted it. Anyone else been receiving email from there?

Like you said yourself, .sg is just an obscure domain. Nothing remotely related to Steamgifts.

I wouldn't even really call it obscure. It's one of the older and more common country codes used, due to how tech oriented Singapore is/was as the internet was taking off. I remember dealing with bots from .sg domains back on IRC in the mid-late 90's lol

I meant obscure as in, not .com or .net or .org. :P

I've been receiving e-mails from a Nigerian prince, a rich heiress, a lottery company saying that I won, etc. There are a lot of shady e-mails out there. :P

Well, if you still haven't figured it out yet, that .sg refers to Singaporean Yahoo accounts. The contents are up to your common sense I guess.
