I've only made around 25 €, cause I wasn't an early bird. Luckily, I've always instantly spent the money :)

Steam Achievement Manager is used to unlock achievements without doing all the pesky work of actually playing the game. Normally used by cheating bastards who want to show off how great they are(n't), people who want to get loads of cash on PlayFire Rewards, people who idle in card games (though Idle Master is a better choice for that now) and to relock achievements you wish to repeat.

"people who want to get loads of cash on PlayFire Rewards".
You mean, "people who want to get 0.5€ per month and some discounts on PlayFire Rewards". They've been gradually decreasing the rewards since the summer sale.

I was thinking about that recently--a program that unlocks achievements. I figured they existed, but I didn't know of any. Re-locking cheevos to open again later? That's brilliant, though terrible.

This is one of the reasons why trading cards are not attached to achievements.

This is also why GMG's Playfire Rewards thing is probably destined to fail. It's a shame--I was getting all of mine legit, and I was hoping to earn more rewards. I think with system abuse and some less-than-well-thought-out decisions, Playife got itself into a hole. We'll have to wait it out to get good rewards again, if ever.

Lazy-ass bastards. There's nothing like getting those achievements with your own hard work and effort. It's just so satisfying.

Yeah until you have games that you got over a bundle or something, or games with 450+ achievements that take your overall account achievement completion down by 10-20%

I am not saying that my completion is good, I am just saying that sometimes it's even a game you don't like to begin with but you do still care for the achievements and total account completion

Question is, why would you care?
Valve doesn't and nor should you.

Also, who still gives a damn about cheevos?

It may be SAM but there's also another option: I play many games in offline mode because the network I'm in doesn't allow the Steam ports. Some games allow you to collect achievements when playing offline but Steam isn't recording the time. When looking at my Faerie Solitaire achievements, you can see, I've unlocked most of them and the achievements for the first 3 stages even at the same time. That's just because when I've logged into Steam the next time after playing the game, the achievements have been updated on the server. Also the 4 hours Steam shows I have played are far from correct. I guess it should be around 20-25.

Same here - I played Thomas Was Alone - the DRM free version and it stored the achievements progress in the registry. When I redeemed my Steam version in order to play the free DLC I instantly unlocked half of the achievements.

That is true, the Steam offline mode not record the time when you playing without internet connection and the achievements are unlocking when steam pass to connected mode.

It is right that while reconnecting after playing offline you get all achievements at the same time (a reason I try to play online) but if you look at the times carefully you see that he got a lot of achievements at 4:05. So he has been online at that time and then probably lightning struck his house turning off all electricity and the internet forcing him in offline mode again. Since he played on his laptop he used his superior battery power and used the time and his inhumane skill to complete the time trial achievements. Then 16 minutes later, at 4:21, the electricity returned activating the new gained achievements.

But seriously. I played VVVVVV and I think the time is "technically" enough to complete those achievements but it would mean that he has made no mistake. Possible but unlikely.

Well, surely they are used SAM, but in this game achievements are added recently and loading one old save game results on auto unlock achievements (with unlock conditions reached, of course).

He used SAM (Steam Achievements Manager) and unlocked them all. I was thinking that by "one day" you meant 24h not 1.4 ;)

But it would be senseless, because at all the other games I looked for he unlocked most of the achievements at diffrent days and dont used SAM to get last one missing. So the explaination above seems possible...

Well, I don't own the game so I couldn't know about that option.

This is fairly easy to explain if you've followed VVVVVV at all. When achievements were first added for this game most of these could be unlocked in 1 playthrough since you could just turn on invulnerability in the options and beat the game in a couple minutes hence why most of them have the same unlock time and similar requirements. Gravitron rewards could be done with invulnerability as well which takes <1 min to complete all. He could have then completed all the mastered achievements. VVVVVVV developers then patched the game and removed invulnerability from certain modes and relocked the mastered achievements for those that got them using invulnerability. For those that didn't, all the remaining achievements popped at the same time when you launched the game after the patch.

Please don't call out people for cheating unless you have proof.

I still don't think that these achievements are supposed to be unlocked by using invulnerability..
