Been playing Borderlands 2 with friends. Game is well received, quite fun and has been out for a long time. So, out of curiosity, to those people who have yet not played it. What is the reason?

i started it last week and am really enjoying it with friends ... Solo becomes boring after a few chapters ..
I recommend using the Borderlands Coop steam group to find players in your region .

RIP weekends .

Lots of people says that it's super funny, have nice jokes, interesting characters, big world and so on. So i thought that I wll buy tier 1 from HB and check if it is worth it.

I played it solo (as I don't have people to play with and I don't want to play with random people from the internet) and I found it to be really boring. I didn't feel any kind of special atmosphere, I didn't found jokes to be funny and so on. I beat it to know how it ends (And I didn't like ending at all. SPOILER! Like really, valley is some kind of portal which just I could open and through whole fight I was sniping some tentacles from ass-big monster? It didn't explain anything to me) because I don't like to dump games in the middle without knowing full plot.

But I liked this DLC with zombies a lot. If whole game would be like this few hours DLC - my opinion on the base game would be far more better. After beating it up I wanted for to get achievements for getting 50 / 51 / 61 lvl but meh. Enemies were terribly underpowered and gave that little exp that farming them was pointless. And I didn't want to start the same plot once again.

So I don't really plan to play in BL 2 or BL: Pre-sequel. But I can play in Tales from Borderlands (I hope it explains stuff about Pandora world and 1st game will make more sense to me).

BL1 has better mechanics and gunplay. BL2 has better story. Handsome Jack really makes BL2 special. This being said DLC4 of BL1 (Secret Armory of General Knoxx) has an excellent story.

I played the hell out of BL1, but don't have nearly the enthusiasm in BL2. Sofar I have beaten the game with one hero, but am finding playthrough 2 to be very tedious.

As for solo vs coop... I play a good bit of both, and personally find coop to make things overly difficult. Maybe its because im playing with my stepson who is 8. It really just makes a lot more work for me haha.

I played BL1 over 300 hours.

But when BL2 was released with DLC-hell and "Season Pass" I lost interest.
